  1. As a non-African and a friend of Africa, I think the Guinean team is very underrated by many people. They played Cameroun with the absence of 4 or 5 starters, including Serhou Guirassy, aka "Mr. Cool." Technically, the Guinean are better than their Camerounian counterparts. Physically, the Camerounian are better their Guinean counterparts, who played the entirety of the second half (plus stoppage time) a man down (10 against 11). I did a bit of research into the AFCON tournament matches played between Cameroun and Guinea. Interestingly, the two countries have met in three (3) AFCON group matches. All three (3) matches ended in stalemate: 2-2 in 1998 AFCON, 1-1 in 2015 AFCON, and 1-1 in 2024 AFCON. Lastly, I do agree with the person who said (wrote) that the other African countries are catching up and that there are no longer so-called "smaller footballing nations" in Africa. I love African football. African football is replete with talents.

  2. Cameroon, my country, i do not recognize them play football anymore. Gone are the days when teams were scared to play us. Now, i do not even recognize half the players 😢

  3. If it comes to unpredictability and genuinely baffling moments, AFCON is the best international tournament out there. Idk what’s even happening in half of the games but they’re worth watching 😂

  4. Some improvements from the Indomitable Lions, however the striker situation needs to be resolved sooner. Ekambi plays better deeper or coming from the wide.

Shout-out to the Sylli National for keeping composure after their captain lost it. It's a younger team, so I expect them to mature going forward. They were also missing their biggest weapon (similar to Cameroon tbh) but still respect

  5. The game in Africa is on the improve and teams are getting better. The margin for error is much smaller now and that is a good
thing for African football as it was force there traditional powers to tighten up or get left behind…Oracle

  6. Some really really poor individual mistakes in the defense from Cameroon on the goal from Guinea. They’re fortunate Guinea got a red card and allowed them to get a draw in the end. Hopefully they can get it together soon.
