We decided to take the GoBus from Cairo to Luxor, and it was an interesting experience. For those that have traveled by bus, what was the longest bus ride you've taken in 1 day?? This ended up being 11 1/2 hours…😬

Wow, what a long ride!
It’s faster to take flight from Cairo to Luxor, I just came back from Egypt and took flight from Luxor to Cairo which is around 1.5 hours. From Aswan to Luxor, I took train which is around 3.5 hours and yeah get ready to “pay”’for “unwanted tips or anything like that”, that’s really annoying 😅

We are planning to travel from Cairo to Luxor by bus with my children. Was there a toilet on the bus? If so, can you please provide information on how it was in terms of hygiene?

Very cool bus! We like them more when there are chickens and goats 😂 but we could spend 11 hours in that bus.
looks 100% better than Grey Hound, but I would of been nervous at those bus stops/rest areas. $12 a person can't be beat though.
I guess take your own food/snacks/drinks?
