Wrong information… There is no butterfly around the beach. Butterfly beach is called because its hills are like butterflies.
If you are going through activa, hardly you have to track 300-400 meters. Even, jeeps are available to travel so called 2 km track.

Go to butterfly beach by boat via beautiful sea voyage. You will get boat from Palolem beach & Colva beach. Trekking 2 km is boring and outdated route.

better visit Khadakwasla in Pune. Most cringe beach in Goa! Totally not worth it!
