We heard load shedding is over, is it true? We looked on the internet and South Africa has build 2 of the biggest coal fired power stations in the world as well as a new Nuclear Power Station being planned.
Well done, I have no debt, working to improve my solar system (double it's capacity), I am an Electrician, after that I am planning my water harvest system. I started a veggie patch in my back yard that's giving me a fair harvest, my food forest in my front yard is still not very productive, given time it will improve. Retired so I have time now.
Great going. I love to watch these kinds of these videos. Grid 1 and 3 we overcame by not starting on that journey. On the solar one, we have bought the components, we just need a house to put it onto. All the best going forward. I shall be following your journey.

Well done guys. We have been homesteading for 8 to 10 years now. Living a self sufficient live is so satisfying. We resently moved to a smaller place and starting over.

These 3 step are important. #1 the best. #2 is difficult here.. cause we hardly have any sun during the winter. You have different down there! #3 water is no issue here. We have own well and clear water lake, which you can drink. So different matters in the different places. All the best to you 😍

I was looking at the Overberg area to move to and found some good looking properties then i was told about planned mining in Overberg district. i Don't want to invest in property and have a mine close by that will destroy every thing. We have been living off grid for 12 years and want a more quite and less crime area to live.
is it safe there?
