But there is one thing most people do not realize…
If you want to change from Democrat to Republican in NY State, it must be done by the October before a Presidential election.
That means folks who want to change from Democrat to Republican would have to have done it before October 2023 for it count and be valid in the November 2024 Presidential Election.
They could still vote, but it will not count for Trump. It'll actually just pull the vote away from the Democratic Party or other party they had previously registered for – but it will NOT give Trump extra votes.
I still think it's good for Trump to come to give people hope and an understanding of what not only the current Administration is doing , but what their local leaders in the Democratic party are doing as well, so they can make informed decisions later on in their communities.
