  1. My college roommates and I watched the very first season of SNL — yep, we’re all about 70 now. We fell out of our chairs because nothing like SNL had ever appeared on tv before. Many years later, Mike Myers did the “Cawfee Talk” skits, especially the one where Barbra Streisand unexpectedly showed up. It was fun to see Myers here in that iconic role (based on his ex-wife’s mother). I’m from the Bronx, so it’s extra fun for me. Myers has aged a lot, but his SNL skits were 30+ years ago. We all get old — I pass the mirror, and I think, who is that??

  2. The way MM says "Iron Lungk" is a perfect detail. I don't know why that is, I hear, mostly Jewish, Italian and African-American people pronouncing -ng words with a hard G at the end.

  3. Seeing Myers at Richman has me verklempt 😂 such an iconic character! Do check out the 1992 Coffee Talk sketch – famous of course for its surprise Barbara Streisand cameo, the magic of live tv!! 😂
