Broadwalk Urban Village | Midrand blaze claims one life

This was not a normal residential building – it seems it was converted from an office park. Worse, it seems the building had no firewalls separating the units; the walls don't rise beyond the wallplate – this you can see even from the street. (This is probably the reason why the whole first floor was gutted). I don't think the building was compliant with building fire regulations, I suspect particularly for a multi-residential.

She gave a one year old away the day before? And then a gas fire the next day? Something is not make sure here.
