At some point protests reach a point of diminishing returns. They bring the economy
to a standstill. People can not go to work, businesses get damaged, more lives lost. The vulnerable who are the biggest victims are those that depend on a daily pay. Without work on that day they don't get paid as opposed to those who get paid regardless if they miss work or not.
The police can not be everywhere to protect every business or humans . Goons infiltrate the protests and take advantage robing busineses and protestors ( as seen). Dubai cancelled flights to Kenya and USA issued travel advisory thats jobs lost and millions lost in revenue. It can not be a zero sum game meaning (If the total gains of the participants are added up, and the total losses are subtracted, they will sum to zero.) In other words secure your gains and minimize your losses. At this time protests are minimizing our gains.
GenZ need to rethink their strategy.
Gains have been Made. Finance bill out, Cabinet dissolved, IG resigned, SHIFT the new health system declared unconstitutional. There are ways to pressure govt especially on the deaths. Just keep publicizing it and calling for a commission of enquiry. Do not be seen to be unreasonable otherwise you start losing credibility and the govt gains.
The Focus now should be on :
-Supplementary budget,
-IEBC and Recall.
Expenditure cutsthere still remains many areas the govt can cut.-Ensure every county has an Xspace for folk to engage about county issues and hold governors to account. In the meantime strategize on how you can recall your Mp.
-Civic education.
-Organize for 2027 elections.
