What exactly is the reason for not having a parachute on an airplane? Even if it was a 50/50 or even a 5 or even a 1% chance of working I'd take it over nothing. How can we not have them under the seats or heck, can they be designed in a way that in a situation like this the aircraft can shed its wings and other large parts and deploy massive parachutes like you see on the spacecrafts when the reenter the earth.
LORD please bring peace to all those involved. This was very heartbreaking to watch 🙁

Okay…I obviously don't know the full story of what happened, but it looked like he was in a flat spin. As a student pilot 50 years ago, I was taught what causes a spin AND how to recover from it. So, either something was wrong with the flight control system, or he didn't know how to prevent or recover from a spin.
