Those taking a pop at Ed Sheeran – have you actually read his reasons why he would not have given his permission, if asked? If not, then do so. This is a pretty poor clip in this respect as everyone knows it will be a hatchet job on Sheeran, without presenting any of the other side.
And we are without George Michael too… I loved seeing all those young kids in the 1984 documentary getting along and singing so beautifully! ♥
He just needs a fake tan😊
can I buy the original please…would never have anything to do with Ned Sheeran
Why do people who created something so great years ago always convince themselves that their newest version is the "best" version. It doesn't even come close. Let's keep it real. The original 1984 version had magic, this new 2024 version (like everything 2024) is a cheap, lame knockoff.
Ed sheeran showing his true colours
I love Sir Bob and Midge Ure… this song gives me goosebumps…
Band Aid just wants to HELP…not to change anything..i wish i can help too
Ed should probably be very silent 😠Once trees were cut so he could have his German concert venue big enough. Yes, it was "only" park trees. But since then I can't take him seriously. As if we had not venues he could use without destroying living beings.
Great respect and love to Bob Geldof
😢😢😢😢wow Super Human…very Special❤
How they get the money to FEED STARVNG CHILDREN is not controversial for the ACTUAL STRAVING CHILDREN.
Rock on Bob you are a legend
Ed Sheeran is showing his true colours
Heartfelt – Wonderful person Bob Geldoff – he acted whilst politicians of the time just accepted suffering and today's even fuel suffering by greed. Corporate interedts, proxy wars and self serving intentions – maybe if everyone was like Mr Geldoff suffering and cruelty would be largely banished ❤
Regardless of what any young person today thinks, back then Band-Aid was responsible for a shift in consciousness about poverty, and the realization that we cannot turn a blind eye to global social issues
Why not release the original version again. You can't ever beat that musical genius and the original artist's. Or else write a different song. The 2024 version is not good.
i can't stand Ed Sheeran
And SUDAN needs help NOW
❤❤❤
I wish I could understand the interviewEr
there is nothing wrong and bad with this at all ed what r u doing
Why is it necessary to sing it again as if it is relevant today?? Did you know Ethiopia is the #1 wheat producing country in Africa?? You personally benefited from this….,,, stop 🛑
Ed Sheeran is a muppet. No more, no less. A man who thinks he can sing and likes singing about dreary things and promoting wrongness to the young, often copying great deal from other songs and lyrics. The total opposite of Bob and his gang.
Charity begins at home.
I would suggest that Ed Sheeran needs to get over himself. Sir Bob is being very gracious about it, but as he has so rightly said, the fact that this record and it's re-release will have saved so many lives overs the years totally negates any PC-related argument, or criticism of the record.
All together now ‘ it’s Christmas time Bob Gandolf’s on the take again… ‘
The fact is that Band Aid was absolutely fantastic and of its time. Lets stop re releasing it. It was an original classic. Let the young people now do their own thing and make their own contributions.
🙏❤️
When the rest of the world did nothing, an irish
Man stood up people should remember that
Ethiopia is now a powerhouse with the expansion of agricultural and manufacturing industries, which now has the fastest economic growth in sub-Saharan Africa, their Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has said he doesn't want charity, so please Bob crawl back into your hole.
Beautiful story with the Ethiopian family. ''There is more happiness in giving'' said Jesus 2,000 years ago and the truth of it is seen in Band Aid and many other works worldwide.
a note to the Woke detractors… a lot of the money ended up in Moscow : Google Haile Mariam Mengistu
