  1. Gs is just a tractor, not good at anything, give me a africa twin over the gs anytime, I use to be a gs owner because of the hype and it just sux. If I had a choice the ktm would be my choice, it's powerful and exciting. The gs is just boring. When I'm 80 I'll probably jump back on to a gs but till then let the gs do what it does best and that's just letting it sit in the showroom . Great video guys but pls compare bike to bikes and not to the boring good at nothing GS

  2. AFRICA TWIN: 1) Gravel has Power Setting to Most Control…. Not as Indicated early on. 2) I never use Drive mode… (unless I´m on a texas Highway and bored…and running low on fuel) 3) When used correctly DCT is a Huge advantage… Off Road Mode should have been used instead of gravel – or even better User 1 configured to your taste… Thats what it´s for!! 4) 09:30 You claim it stopped on a climb…. of course it would as you attempted to do so in Drive mode which is meant for grocery shopping 😉 – Great Video Guys!!

  3. Basically. I have had both. I kept the AT. The GS is amazing for road and touring. But off road the AT shines. ITs still really good on road. I kept the AT if that helps. Its just more fun to ride. IMO I do have Adventure sport, electronic suspension and a manual 6 speed. DCT is ok but manual is king off road.

  4. Theres a reason you don't see much offroad GS hikers, great bike to ride but if feels like a poser bike, way to wide for passes and it lacks offroad capabilities for me, the AT understand offroad.

  5. THE EQUAL OPONENT FROM HONDA TO THE BMW GS 1250 — IS THE VFR 1200X AND NOT THE AFRICA TWIN 1100 !!!!!! OF COURSE IT IS OUT OF PRODUCTION NOW — BUT ANY WAY IT IS OBVIUS THAT IN EVERY VIDEO YOU MAKE THE LOVE OF THE BMW PRODUCTS IS PRESENT !!!!! THE SAME HAPENED WITH TRIUMPH – THE SAME HAPENED WITH KTM !!!!!! AND THIS IS NOT GOOD FOR YOUR PROFESSION MY FRIENDS — NOT GOOD . THIS YEAR BMW WILL PRESENT THE GS 1300 AND LATER ON THE GS 1400 . I MAKE A BET THAT YOU TWO – WILL SAY THE SAME THAT THIS IS THE BEST BIKE !!!!! SO MY ADVICE IS NOT TO FEAR – BUT DARE TO SAY THE TROUTH AND YOUR REAL OPINION !!!!! OTHER WAYS GRADUALLY THE PEOPLE WILL STOP FOLLOWING YOU .

  6. bhaha. you got the lowest power at ATAS settings ))) 1 – biggest (less electronic interrupt to power control). 4 – lowest (more electronic interrupt to power control ). traction|ABS/whilly is another: 1 – lowest (less electronic interrupt to control). 4 – biggest (more electronic interrupt to control )

  7. hi all , i agree globally with your precise comments ; i just bought GSA 1250 ; the main problem is …his price ; for the rest only pleasure !! but in terms of economy and agreement , HONDA is very competitive ; to have only road trip on roads , and very light off road , VARADERO (injection model) is a very good choice , comfortable , 400 kms autonomy , and …cheap ; appreciate your videos , go on !!

  8. GSA. This is a case where everyone buying the huge number of GS’s and GSA’s is not wrong. If you want to live with and travel long distances comfortably on a motorcycle……..this is it. There is competition in this segment and some other very nice bikes can do one thing or another better or faster but………overall…….the BMW is a nearly perfect machine as a traveling companion. I picked up a brand new one and rode it 650 miles home in 2 days in rain and heat, on country roads and city traffic and enjoyed doing it. I had never traveled more than a few hours on a bike before.

  9. Hello to the motorbike community. I have a question for anyone with the knowledge and experience. I am contemplating buying a brand new ADV this spring. I basically have it narrowed it down to 2 options.
Option A) 2023 Honda Africa Twin Super Adventure Manual. Like the style and look, I am concerned about the continual maintenance on the chain. It is not uncommon for me to jump on my current bike and put ~500 km's on it in a day on the weekend (311 miles). I am also concerned about the comfort, both in the seat and wind protection. I read lots of information and people love them and of course people will gripe as well and for good reason, experience on the bike. Everyone is different. Is this bike going to be comfortable enough for a few very long days in the saddle from time to time? Although we all get off our bikes every 2-3 hours to fuel on a long trip, still good to have really good comfort when needed. Is this bike the one to have if a person gets an upholsterer to redo the seat to your butt contours? Will that make it an awesome long haul machine?

Option B) 2023 Yamaha Super Tenene 1200. I understand this bike is boring (perhaps compared to some of the competition) but with that come great all day comfort in the saddle and super easy maintenance and reliability. Maybe not as much fun as some of the competition, but my current bike also has shaft drive and has had zero issues in 13 years of ownership. So maybe I don't want to give up reliability and low maintenance? Also, perhaps the Tenere is reaching it's last year of production, what happens if they do this year and I want to own the bike for 10+ years?

This bike that I buy will be a long long time purchase and possibly my last bike (maybe not), but as we get older we look for more comfort. The riding I will do is 80-90% on the pavement and 10-20% gravel and fire roads. HOWEVER, I live an hour away from the mountains and perhaps with an ADV, that ratio will switch to less highway and more gravel/fire roads……….we'll see, the ADV could open a whole new chapter in my riding. The Honda would be a no brainer, but does the Yamaha do the same job with a little less fun factor?

Would love feedback from all people that have/had either or both bikes and let me know based on your experience and knowledge. Thank you!
