To me, she was chosen because she had the shop. I give the reporter credit for bringing her forward. I do think the shop owners answer on the racial make-up of Kamala Harris was bad faith. Obviously, Kamala is black (and Indian). So I only sorta blame the reporter for being condescending there.

Ya gotta love the response to how this woman feels about Trump attacking Harris' heritage. "Is she black?" "Is she?" The correspondent couldn't answer. The point Trump was making is literally that Harris changes what heritage she identifies as depending on who she is pandering to. Prior to this, she identified as Indian. She went on shows and proudly claimed Indian heritage. That won't get her aligned with the black community so she is suddenly identifying as black. If she said she was bi-racial, that would be okay. But she doesn't. The media does.
