I'm not surprised by Courtney B's answer to the question about relationship strife. At this point, I'm disappointed we keep asking the question. One-sided cultural accountability is tired, drives an incomplete conversation. The culture needs to address the difficulties as a whole in the transition from matriarch to patriarch. The bigger question is have black women surrendered/given/passed the roles as leaders in our community to the men? No, I believe the rebellion of out women is they are actually trying to simultaneously lead as a practice. Taught from woman to woman. Like racist, that first has to be untaught before the male has a true opportunity to lead.

Had to pause it right here to agree with Courtney Bee…I love masculine men too girl, I will not entertain any guy with nail polish, or dangling earrings for real…I will not entertain a guy who goes to the shop to get his eyebrows or even feet done. Period. I was brought up old school, as a woman I will scrub my man's feet or even help him groom…but going out to a salon to do that is questionable in my book to say the least.
