I lived in Atlanta and I worked downtown. I lived on the South. When I talked to older black people about me being discriminated and harrassed, they told me they could have told me not to work down there. They said blacks don't leave the southside or go to downtown Atlanta. I was like…Are you kidding me? They still thought that downtown had lunch counters like in the movies. Get out of here. There was 500 gazillion black people working in downtown Atlanta and all over the Atlanta Metro area. We had a black Mayor. Its the fricking black Mecca. It's the civil right capitol of the world. And you are telling me that sitting at home is more important than fighting for your rights and freedom going forward in this country. You better wake up! This is no time to act like its 1955. Wake your black ass up and go fight for the rights of all mankind. Fight for Humanity! This is your opportunity to show you value lives including your own and your children, and generations to come. And guess what? Black people were there at the rallies all over the fricking world and the US. All you had to do was show up for yourself! We are all in this together. There is strength in solidarity! If you don't think you free, your mind will believe you. And you better get your ass to the elections next time. I can't see not one of you being made to work on a field! Together our race generates trillions in buying power. What you waiting on Harriet Tubman? All you had to do was walk or stand. You deserve a voice and a seat at the table. Any side of the table you choose to sit on. If you don't choose, then someone you don't know will chose for you. Take it very seriously.
Please I came to your program to understand. . Out of respect I hear you all but don't understand it all. I do my best as my education was limited growing up and at 69 I do the best I can.. But you say it is not your fight. But if the Maga and Project 2025 rule and have there way my question won't it be harder for everyone? The incompetent government will do us all in. This is a problem for all Americans. How can you be part of a community that you’re willingly separating yourself from. This isn’t a race issue, it’s an American issue. Discrimination is definitely wrong, but discrimination isn’t solved by discrimination. Some people are wanting everyone united, but that requires being open to it. The one thing I’ve learned in my old age is, that everyone hurts one way or another. Here’s to hoping you a pain free future.
I disagree and think there are many black people that don’t want social security and medicare taken away, or Veterans services, etc. we need everyone in this fight. And there are plenty of white people who protest with blacks !
