I'm glad they didn't fall for the colonialism. They know who they are and what is good for them. The value their natural environment so much. The environment remains unpoluted free from ravaging diseases. The moment oil and gold is found there, the west will surely let them know how uncivilized they are.
This was life in many parts of Africa before recent centuries. I also knew about living with the nature and using everything from it. Palm trees, palm nut, palm kernels are all used.
Good for them for fighting off colonialism.
Since food is so scarce for these people in this region why don’t they bring foods to plant 🌱 from the mainland of Africa. For instance Cassava Yams breadfruit Plantain Bananas and various fruits vegetables etc basically the food produce which grows in Nigeria Ghana Guinea Bissau? I’m sure this would solve the food problem whilst keeping them strong and healthy.
