  1. mostly hizi childrens homes, rehabilitation centers and homes for the elderly zinakuanga tu money making schemes huko watu wanateseka sana heri ukae tu na mtu wenyu no matter the condition….thats why a mother will always insist that he is my son even if he was a robber because she knows him more than we do

  2. My mum is a stroke patient she needs 24hr care, I hired a nurse for her she was horrible, my mum almost died after firing her I realized she was even sleeping with the therapist, so my mum never got any therapy. Now a year later I have a good one so nice love her she takes care of mathe.this made me cry so much. Sad indeed.

  3. We Hired A Company To Take Care Of My Granny And It's Awful, The Nurses Are So Unprofessional It's Awful, It's Like These People Come To Work For The Paycheck And Don't Care About Her Most Of The Time,I Mean Can You Imagine My Granny Is Bed Bound And Has To Put Up With This Crap,My Granny Is The Patient But When They Show Up It's Almost As If They're The Patient, They Come Here Looking For Emotional Validation From My Granny Because They See Her As Their Toy More Than Anything, Sometimes They Threaten To Not Bath Her And Take Care Of Her Because She Is In Pain And Screams And They Couldn't Give A Damn They Rush Their Job So They Can Sit Around All Day Gossiping On WhatsApp,Imagine They're Here For A 8 To 10 Hour Shift But To Bath Her Takes No More Than 20 Minutes And If It Does They Threaten To Leave Her Alone,And I Think To Myself These People Forget Why They Come Here,My Granny Is The Patient Ane It's Not The Other Way Around,They Are Toxic And That Toxic Radiates Throughout The Company Even From The People In Higher Places They Lack Communication Skills And They Leave Everybody With A Bad Taste In Their Mouth, I Will Never Ever Recommend This Company To Anyone They're Absolutely Awful They're Just Collecting Money Their Nurses Are Badly Trained And Are Self Centered And They Forget That The Patient Is More Than Them,My Advice To People All Over The World Is That Your parents Are Noones Responsibility But Your own,If You Don't view It Like that you end up with the horrible situation we have here, but even to us we're going through this yet my granny has more than 5 adult children that all neglected her,It all Comes Back To family problems, and let us stop cursing the newer generation By putting the burden on them to take care of our parents and a nursing isn't any better as we Always Hear About How Abusive It is there too ,So again Elderly people Should Be Only Taken care of by their children and noone else,

  5. What I have noticed about BBC Africa, particularly when they focus on Kenya is negative, negative, negative. Care homes in Britain are pretty horrible, and people do die of neglect. While it is important to talk about such issues in Africa, where is the positive information about Kenya or Africa? BBC doesn’t spend all it’s energy showing rising damp, drug addiction, knife crime, etc. They show a balance of both negative and positive. They need to do the same with Africa, especially as BBC’s credibility amongst Brits, is the lowest it’s ever been.

  6. I worked with vulnerable elderly people for more than 3 years on daily basis, I learned a lot through this job, helping the helpless, helping the neglected, helping the hopeless. Many of which were only living waiting to die.

We struggled to get support, because elderly care is not very common with Africans. Zororai Old People's Home (Zimbabwe) became a better place because we all lived and treated everyone like family. People who have noone to depend on, but felt like you're the only hope they have. Challenges would arise, tears would fall, but joy remained in them being able to smile. Despite having changed work environment, I cherish every effort advanced in helping the needy. 🙏

  7. My fellow Africans ,elderly peoples homes is a western way of living !!!! When will be authentic and do life like Africans ??? We keep our elderly family in our homes. Shame of you Kenyans people
