mostly hizi childrens homes, rehabilitation centers and homes for the elderly zinakuanga tu money making schemes huko watu wanateseka sana heri ukae tu na mtu wenyu no matter the condition….thats why a mother will always insist that he is my son even if he was a robber because she knows him more than we do
These caretakers are heartless and evil 💔
My mum is a stroke patient she needs 24hr care, I hired a nurse for her she was horrible, my mum almost died after firing her I realized she was even sleeping with the therapist, so my mum never got any therapy. Now a year later I have a good one so nice love her she takes care of mathe.this made me cry so much. Sad indeed.

We Hired A Company To Take Care Of My Granny And It's Awful, The Nurses Are So Unprofessional It's Awful, It's Like These People Come To Work For The Paycheck And Don't Care About Her Most Of The Time,I Mean Can You Imagine My Granny Is Bed Bound And Has To Put Up With This Crap,My Granny Is The Patient But When They Show Up It's Almost As If They're The Patient, They Come Here Looking For Emotional Validation From My Granny Because They See Her As Their Toy More Than Anything, Sometimes They Threaten To Not Bath Her And Take Care Of Her Because She Is In Pain And Screams And They Couldn't Give A Damn They Rush Their Job So They Can Sit Around All Day Gossiping On WhatsApp,Imagine They're Here For A 8 To 10 Hour Shift But To Bath Her Takes No More Than 20 Minutes And If It Does They Threaten To Leave Her Alone,And I Think To Myself These People Forget Why They Come Here,My Granny Is The Patient Ane It's Not The Other Way Around,They Are Toxic And That Toxic Radiates Throughout The Company Even From The People In Higher Places They Lack Communication Skills And They Leave Everybody With A Bad Taste In Their Mouth, I Will Never Ever Recommend This Company To Anyone They're Absolutely Awful They're Just Collecting Money Their Nurses Are Badly Trained And Are Self Centered And They Forget That The Patient Is More Than Them,My Advice To People All Over The World Is That Your parents Are Noones Responsibility But Your own,If You Don't view It Like that you end up with the horrible situation we have here, but even to us we're going through this yet my granny has more than 5 adult children that all neglected her,It all Comes Back To family problems, and let us stop cursing the newer generation By putting the burden on them to take care of our parents and a nursing isn't any better as we Always Hear About How Abusive It is there too ,So again Elderly people Should Be Only Taken care of by their children and noone else,
My heart broke when he had to give his little money to get treatment and still didn’t get the treatment. 😭 😭😭😭
this has made me cry like a baby. I miss my great grandma and my grandma. We used to share a room and helped take care of her.
People want to be loved, to be heard, quality healthcare, good nutrition, meaningful engagements, etc.
Women's guild underline that group and fear them. This group has tourtured many people in pcea unapologetically.
There should be cctv everywhere in these homes to. Monitor level of care by both the staff and family members
The hospital is just next. Why are these pple so unfair
Wanjiku Joyce… 😍Woman with big heart 🙏🙏🙏
This was story from a woman who was demoted from work,so she was doing the story for revenge,,, that's my home place I know that place
BBC Kenya eye
Somali and Indian community only care for their parents right in kenya like 💯
What country is this?
It's so sad, but then some of the old folks are stubborn. Don't spread hate and rumors 😠. Do you stay with your Old granny? Ask the ones that do?! RESPECT other people's jobs.
Uncivilized is the only word I can think of when I witness elderly abuse.
Oh no:(. this breaks my heart to the core..why even start a care home if you cant take care of the elders..what a shame. Where are the Women's Guild themselves:(
Let's take our elderly parents at home
Thank Allah for been a Muslim we don’t take our parents to nursing homes we live with our parents and take good care of them like the took care of us in childhood my father’s is 98yrs still active and married to our stepmom I take care of them all my step mom is in her 50 and my father still want to do farming I tell him not but he can’t stop and he can circle his bicycle to his farm and he’s always blessing us and to be united and take care of my younger siblings lead them to right and I’m a medical doctor and my daddy want me to get married for him to see his grandsons and daughters unfortunately all of us are boys both from my late mom and stepmom
'God help me, I want to leave this world' The shaking man.
That man sounds like he has shingles?
Na hao wafanyakazi wanadhani watakufaje?
Kenya is far superior to all its neighbors
It's saddening 😢 listening to them narrate the happenings in the so called 'Home Care' 😢😢
Principal secretary saying should we find….
Its happening. They should have undercover government carers in every home.
What I have noticed about BBC Africa, particularly when they focus on Kenya is negative, negative, negative. Care homes in Britain are pretty horrible, and people do die of neglect. While it is important to talk about such issues in Africa, where is the positive information about Kenya or Africa? BBC doesn’t spend all it’s energy showing rising damp, drug addiction, knife crime, etc. They show a balance of both negative and positive. They need to do the same with Africa, especially as BBC’s credibility amongst Brits, is the lowest it’s ever been.
OMG💔💔💔💔💔
Am.sorry to say this.. In Kenya watu wa papers ni wengi but roho ya kufanyakazi ni wachache wanazo. Kazi ikikosa wanalia wakipata wanajisahau..
I worked with vulnerable elderly people for more than 3 years on daily basis, I learned a lot through this job, helping the helpless, helping the neglected, helping the hopeless. Many of which were only living waiting to die.
We struggled to get support, because elderly care is not very common with Africans. Zororai Old People's Home (Zimbabwe) became a better place because we all lived and treated everyone like family. People who have noone to depend on, but felt like you're the only hope they have. Challenges would arise, tears would fall, but joy remained in them being able to smile. Despite having changed work environment, I cherish every effort advanced in helping the needy. 🙏
Thanks for exposure its shameful family members neglecting their old pple do they even visit check how they are, they will also grow old
And God bless that lady who ledt her job to start a foundation to help the elderly may God meet her at her point of need…you are doing a good deed
Oh no my heart just broke…justice shld be done to this home
A beautiful daughter you are😊🎉
I do this kind of work I couldn’t believe our own people treating each other like this so sad although homers are not common in Africa
God help me I want to leave this world, that is so heartbreaking to hear people are so heartless 😭💔
My fellow Africans ,elderly peoples homes is a western way of living !!!! When will be authentic and do life like Africans ??? We keep our elderly family in our homes. Shame of you Kenyans people
