Sounds like NASCAR? Maybe, but NASCAR just doesn't compare to WRC.
They say USA are car lovers,how is it that you guys don't have WRC
WRC car top speed is about 190 (118 mph) to 200 km/t (124 mph). Fastest rally of the season is Sweden and Finland were they have a avrage speed around 125 km/t(78 mph). But all depend of what setting the cars have. You u should check out WRC Rally Finland MAX ATTACK if you likemspeed and big jumps if you havent already 🙂

They don't use standard winter tires, they use tires with studs (300 per tire)
If i remember correctly, they are 800€ a pice..
Fun fact, some drivers say, thats the most grip they will get all season!
The chirping you hear, is not the brakes, it's the Turbo / charing systems that they constantly spool up, to get more speed out of the corners.
