I remember the first time I saw Naomi in Vogue I was 15. I thought she was not just amazingly beautiful, statuesque, but dark. Made me and friend of mine feel so proud. Seeing her in George Michaels video then Michael Jackson's video was riveting. Made us young black girls feel beautiful. Tried to do my eyeliner and eyelashes like hers. What stands out the most for me with Naomi is her vest of confidence. She speaks her mind. She is eloquent when she sits and walks. She is so classy. Thank you Naomi for giving a then younger Panamanian girl someone to look up to.
