  1. Hi Everyone! Just a reminder about the odd blur: On YouTube, potentially disturbing imagery (guns being pointed at another person, dead bodies, etc.) must be blurred. In our opinion, the trade off for unrestricted access is worth it. In the context of the documentaries, we believe the horrors of war, of gun violence, of killings, are still powerful despite some blurring.

We know not everyone is in agreement here – and we totally respect that – but in life, one has to compromise. So it’s the choice of having some blurs but still with all the complete uncensored spoken information versus not showing, for example, a Behind Bars documentary at all.

We apologize to those who are frustrated by this measure but we assure you that we only do so in order to comply with YouTube's moderation guidelines. Free Documentary will always stand for the values of open and accessible information.

  2. I see some posts saying being incarcerated here is worse than death.

I disagree. Death is worse. Death is nothingness. Do you remember the thoughts and emotions you had before you were born? It was nothingness. You had no thoughts, emotions or consciousness. That's how death will be. In death you will experience nothingness.

Life, even if incarcerated, is better than death.

  3. At first I thought: is that really a South African? Her accent is Filipino. But then I realized, maybe she had to adopt the Filipino accent otherwise everyone else would pick on her for having a foreign accent.

  4. this documentary show 50% of what is the real story and life in prison. be a good person life in prison is a hell but if you have money u can atleast make ur life there better compare to other inmates who dnt have

  5. "Everyone is equal before the law"

That doesn't apply in the Philippines. As long as you have money, you are above the law. Do a bit more research. Very small amount rich people in the PH has been convicted for the crimes they committed. If you manage to get convicted, you will have the most special of all treatments. Herbert Colangco is a good reference.

  6. One thing I always think about while watching these prison documentaries is the risk of fire. Most of the people are locked up at night, in close quarters, and seeing the guards padlock those doors is just scary. The thought of being confined with many others, and the building on fire with poisonous smoke closing in, and all of the doors padlocked is absolutely terrifying. You know most of those guards wouldn't be risking their lives to go unlock the doors either.
