BBC news in Pidgin English reports a curious case of an illegal immigrant in Britain for 50 years

Thank goodness for the Pidgin English news reports on the BBC, for they tell us of interesting things we should never otherwise know about.

  1. Wasn't there a similar situation with the so-called 'Windrush Generation' when so many of them 'didn't realise', 'didn't understand', 'forgot' that a temporary work permit wasn't a ticket to permanent residency or naturalisation, but just stayed on despite the fact that they should have realised that their 'licences' had run out? Yet it was the 'evil', 'racist' Home Office that got all the bad publicity when they finally caught up with these people? Do you think we could all try the same trick with the BBC or DVLA next time our TV/car licences run out?

  2. I couldn't agree more. If I (as an English man) often find it difficult to understand my own language on the World Service how on earth can people from different countries around the globe be expected to comprehend? The BBC is bent on it's own destruction and it's not an accident.

  3. What an excellent broadcast! Lately one has noted how people who are 'well-spoken' are all but extinct. Mind you I first noticed this when the England cricket team had a captain Nasser Hussein who spoke estuary English, a far cry from the likes of Mike Brearley and David Gower. And of course, a number of highly successful cricketers now are standard issue tattooed yobbos.

  4. He remained here illegally whilst using all sorts of shenanigans to get around the rules and laws – which included conspiring with dodgy Nigerian lawyers to falsify documents, including his Ghanaian passport in which they placed a fake British visa stamp. He should be removed without further delay, and there should be an inquiry into how he has managed to stay here for so long.

  5. The BBC would rather use rap or any other ethnic derivative, they are so out of touch with their audience I’m pretty sure that the exec is based in a separate solar system these days….

  6. Why report this story on a national news broadcast? The BBC loves this kind of thing. They can represent how righteous they are, as well as informing us where their true loyalties lie.

  7. What you seem to be missing is that he paid taxes in the UK. He may be at fault, but so is the state for never following up for more than 40 years that there was a registered taxpayer who was not a citizen, nor had a residence permit. It’s called negligence.

  8. If I stole someones car fifty years ago and succeeded in driving it around all this time does that mean when the owner recognises it I still get to keep it?
