  1. My first thought on the 1890s hat was "Omg that's gorgeous, look at that green! So vibrant!"
The second was "So vibrant… Wait, could it be arsenic?!"

Is there a way to tell?
Maybe treat it with caution, but what a gorgeous hat nonetheless. 🖤💚

  2. I love the American Girl content even if I'm not particularly interested in collecting them myself. Since you started including them you have inspired me to start making doll clothes!

  3. Hello! I would love to see you post a full AG collection, there isn’t much pleasant company content on here and I loved your Samantha haul from months ago!

Also little tip: according to the Federal Trade Commission, consumers are legally allowed to keep products mistakingly sent by sellers! It’s illegal for a sellers to demand payment or a return of a product they incorrectly sent to a buyer who didn’t purchase it because that’s the sellers mistake, not the buyers mistake. Please don’t let American companies take advantage of you like this. I recently had to deal with horrendous customer service from pottery barn because of this so I reported them to the FTC to hopefully prevent them taking advantage of others as well. I’m glad to see that Fabfitfun is doing it right by letting you keep your mistaken item!

  4. Oooo the reusable lint roller looks cool. After testing nearly all of them, we have found the Lidmen's brand to be the best for dog hair that likes to weave into clothes. And the sheets actually separate 1 at a time

  5. Would enjoy seeing your American Girl collection. I have a few of them I’ve collected for over the years. Felicity is my favorite as is Mary Ellen. So cool you were gifted such beautiful items. The gold velvet would definitely go with your blue and yellow silk. Enjoy 😊

  6. What an awesome haul. That one print from Australia is going to make a beautiful 18th Century outfit. I must be learning because as soon as I saw the print, 18th century is what came to mind. Later, when you showed the blue and yellow checked fabric, I thought to myself that would be a wonderful bustle dress, lol. I really like bold patterns and colors, and some of my favorite outfits you’ve made are outstanding in that regard! Those fashion plates are very cool too. Any plans to recreate any of those dresses? Thanks for sharing this with us. Enjoy your new things.

  7. i am interested in watching whatever brings you happiness. you're still creating amazing pieces when you do american girl stuff, so even tho i don't personally have an interest in AG stuff, i love seeing you create the items!

  8. I am not so into American Girl dolls. However seeing you being so happy talking about them with so much passion and happiness is still interesting. I like seeing how you scale up and use it teach about historic fashion and sewing details.

  9. Okay, so maybe I’m in the minority, but I am not interested in American doll stuff. They gives me the creeps, but that is just me. I love your historical garments and history bounding, but if I see dolls/ AG video from you I don’t watch. If you were to devote your time to that niche, then I would stop my subscription to your channel….which is a shame as I enjoy your presentations of grown woman /adult costume. I hope that doesn’t upset you too much, and Is never want to dampen your enthusiasm for your dolls, but my preference is to see what adult, women wore in history and you do those type of video sooo cool. ❤
I think your idea about doing two channels (one for adult themes, one for dolls +/- kids, would be fine.

  10. I daren’t eat tea party food more than about twice a year! It multiplies itself by a factor of 1000 and sits on my hips!

The 1890s hat is absolutely beautiful 😻

I love it when people make life-sized versions of American Girl outfits, but I’ve always found dolls a bit creepy! They just sit and stare at me!

  11. You did great with the video. Well, last year in June, my grandfather from my dad's of the family had passed away before he was 81. My dad didn't let me and my brother Joseph know that papa Larry had passed away. If I have time to do some sewing lessons. But I'm just not doing it right now because of papa's passing.

  12. I am glad that you have a special doll channel because I can tell that you really enjoy the doll content and I like for you to be happy, but I don't care about the doll content. I have enjoyed seeing the videos when you wear your matching outfits for a big event and it was initially interesting to see how carefully you went about scaling up a badge and other items. I enjoyed the video where you made some Halloween items for you and your mother, and another where your parents helped you get footage of a costume reveal. Your voice and expressions are special when you are with your parents.

I'm so happy that people are finding special gifts to send you, and that you have found some great items on your own, like that lint trapper! I look forward to watching more of your 2024 content.

  13. I love how women's dressed before I wish that fashion come back again ,sorry to said I hate to see some women in this days how they dress it is shame .I don't know what happened.

  14. Rebecca!! I actually own 8 or maybe 9 fashion plate BOOKS. I do own one Petersons.SP? Years I just checked were pre civil war..and civil war. 1851, 1865…I didn't check the others. I got into floral hand colored plates first and then these popped up. I bought them several years ago. Each book has things like patterns and writings of the day. These books contain several plates.I wont separate them, as I want them intact. Its fun to see which ones you have!!😍😍❤ I love my books, they are precious!!

  15. Looks like there are a lot of us Rebecca's that love watching another Rebecca!
I bought one of those lint brushes a couple months ago, 5 cats here, lifesaver!
Have you ever considered getting a large frame and having Joanns cut a mat to hang multiples at once?

  16. I love most of all your content. I love American Girl dolls and the stuff you do with them. Already following them on your Instagram. Can't wait to see all the amazing projects with the fabric.

  17. I just love haul video's! My favorite thing was probably the very first thing; the plates! First of all, the colors, the style; right up my vintage-eclectic alley. Also, my daughter's name is Laurel, so there's that, lol. I was never into American Girl, but I have to say some of my favorite content has been when you make your matching American Girl cosplay outfits. Your commitment to finding just the right fabric and your attention to every little detail is so wonderful to watch.

  18. You have my approval to do all the American girl stuff. I don’t have any and my daughter was never interested in dolls but I would have loved them had I not been too old when they came out. Unfortunately, my granddaughter is more of a stuffy girl than a doll girl. I am the girl who spent my childhood, pretending to be Louisa May Alcott, and Laura Ingalls wilder so I would totally have been into the dolls and the stories.
I can’t wait for your next project !!!!

  19. I suppose that because I'm not Americian and only learned that Americian Girl dolls were a thing well into adulthood they don't have the same nostagia for me. I don't really mind you using them as inspiration for historical costumes, it's no different to me than you using a movie or a fashion plate as inspiration. I'm here for the sewing mostly (and the occasional haul/event video).

  20. Lots of people push items that they get commission off of. Nothing new or off putting about that. It’s good business. And it’s been like that for ages. I have no complaint. But there’s something this time that makes YouTube go into a labeling fuss about two of the items that you get commission on? It’s very distracting. What’s with that?

  21. Just a crazy idea, I always thought when my Girls were small and had those dolls that I'd like to have a coordinating Mom dress, Not the childs/dolls, but adult like the moms aunt, etc of the doll/child… just a crazy idea.

  22. I prefer your historical costume work. Not so keen on the American girl. I would love to see you create an amazing French Roccoco look as if you were attending a Versaille ball.

  23. Oh man loved your haul. Such cute stuff but I'm Really envious on the plates. I've been trying to find them one but it seems antique shops might be the way I have to go.
