ATMIS set to wrap up operations in Somalia before January
The African Union’s peacekeeping mission in Somalia, ATMIS ends in 2024. More than 7,000 ATMIS forces are already gone. They’ll be replaced by forces from the new African Union Support and Stabilization Mission in Somalia (AUSSOM), beginning on January 1.
