  1. It was not a freak wave….media cover up. The people where intoxicated and a sandbank with about 100 people on it collapsed under the water….the rest is history. I was there watching it from my hotel….no abnormal waves where present and live cameras on the hotels prove it.

  2. This nearly happened in majorca in 1991 me my sister was children at the time and we got hit by a rogue wave my sister was swept out of the sea my dad had to swim and get her back the rest is a blur I can of blocked it out what happened but 3 people died that day and numberous of hotels buildings and restaurants was damaged near by shops was flooded with sea water it was awful very scary. I nearly lost my sister that day she was only 4 years old at the time. There was people up to 2 miles away saw what happened my mum was rescued as well we was all ok. I do admit I now hate the ocean I have a lot of respect for it it can take lives just like that. We saw and people saw coast guards in Santa ponsa beach mins afterwards they found me and my mum but my sister was much futher away. An ambulance came for us and several other people but we did hear that some people on the beach that got swept away and drowned some was found days later miles away. This happened in aug 1991 Santa ponsa majorca my thoughts go out to these Durban wave who died it's very frightening to have a lovely day to the beach for something like this to happen

  3. I'm sure hundreds of these people don't know how to swim. Swimming in rivers is not the same as swimming in the ocean. Parents must warn their children about the dangers of swimming in the oceans.
