Fix the government Healthcare facilities first before mandating non-residents to pay to use such healthcare.
Most diasporans/non-residents have travel medical insurance that can be used at better equipped private hospitals.
Recently babies died at Tema General hospital due to Dumsor. Lady was dumped by hospital staff on roadside at Winneba. There was a leaky roof at government hospital emergency room around Nsawam area. Is this the same hospitals you want foreigners to use?
🤔Such equivocations, fudgings, prevarications from state/govt officials or national administration politicians about policies, including presently, this health insurance for expatriate/foreign or non-resident travellers to Ghana is not helpful. Such action-plans or policies which lack clarity and/or transparency tend to leave people, especially travellers (visitors/tourists, etc.) in the dark and confused, and further makes them undesirous of visiting.
Whereas matters related to health or health care delivery (hcd) are very important for all persons and parties, both resident and non-resident, foreigner/expatriate or local, state and govt, it is also very equally important for policies affecting or addressing health issues or health care delivery (hcd) to be made due diligently squeaky clean and brightly/brilliantly clear as daylight to avoid cloudiness, confusion and unnecessary cavils and complains.
