I felt like yapping aswell, here it goes:
1) music: i get that "went for a music and dug deeper into the artist and fell into a rabbit hole" im stuck on one right now lol. Ive been obcessed with a musician called Utsu-P, makes a mix of metal, electronic and pop. He never misses imo. But he is like 30 ish rn, and mf has been making music for YEARS and still does so, im fed 🙌
My friend introduced me to a group called ENHYPEN, funny part i mostly watch the content rather than the songs/albums. My bias is Ni-ki and hers is Sunoo. We're old time friends and its pretty nice watching their clips. I do agree that it feels overstimulating entering the fandom with drama and keeping up with members, trends or music. The industry cant catch a break huh. Call me trend hater but i am. Famous songs from kpop (and pop in general) feel very catchy and marketable lately. They want it simple and short, so it can fit in a tiktok dance trend, aesthetic trend, can be enough to fill a concert stadium, something easy to advertize – something thats just good *enough*. Thats the point! And i get that! But as a consumer, ive migrated towards indie production since, in video games, music or food? Idrk what was the point of this argument ill shut up
2) games: the first game that made me cry was Plants vs zombies. "Why?" No clue, i just remember one day playing pvz on a shared tablet with my lil bro and having a nightmare or smth??? Which made me have a brain fart and being very emotional abt plants being eaten? Or families being destroyed bc of the zombie apocalypse? 😭😭😭 and my mom forced bro deleting the game off the device (im sorry ok?)
I grew up with a lot of mobile games and flash games! Favorites were cooking games and point-and-click horror/escape rooms like cube escape: the series. Dont forget the classics like angry birds, pou, talking tom/angela, geometry dash, papa's series, cartoon network games, some random farm games too. Not a newgrounds kid, but the games on that website were kinda wild.
I only had as a child a shitty ddr pad thing (broke in the second time playing) and a national brand controller with mics as extra (also very bad). When i traveled to my uncles house, he had like bootleg "300 games in one cd" in a cctr tv, that i still play! For some reason, the colors are gone now, but there was Contra, a tank game i forgot the name of, Ice Breaker, Doctor Mario??, Circus, Yoshi egg thingy, chip n' dale rescue rangers – had to google this one, i finished it multiple times with my brother, very meaningful for me ❤ also and it was in japanese, being young, just skipped lore anyway
3) anime: crazy that i only watched mha, i like the universe, worldbuilding, and branding of each character but dont actually like deku. One day i just gave up on the anime 🤷 halfway through the 2nd season. I really enjoy listening abt anime and manga but too lazy to watch em. BUT im still looking forward to watch Look Back, from the same creator of chainsaw man, heard its a great movie, emotional rollercoaster abt artists, really crazy since chainsawman is gory and brutal and this one is like girls drawing, happy happy until? Since im an artist too, id be great to watch our portrait. I really dont wanna pirate it to watch idrk what to do lol
4) mbti: oh damn im an infp pretty close
w5) fit in: i never realized how much older people care abt what others think. Ive now realized how they dont want to ruin tradition or reputation. Dont want their children to stand out by painting their hair, put piercings, dressing differently, or having different personalities even. Its weird how much i held some of those things and do them still. Well, someday ill be more weird and proud. Hopefully.
6) holding money: 😭😭 your parents gaslit you hard. Although my parents always told me that unwrapping presents in front of the giver is considered rude in japan?… but to brazillians is polite and considerate. Since im mixed, hard to tell. Never had many presents to open anyways lmao. The money my parents were "holding" for me must be crazy with inflation 😭
