  1. This Government campaigned on subsidy removal and won the election. It should be courageous enough to insist on its own terms; subsidy payment is injurious to our economy, period. Courage is the chief attribute of a charismatic leader. Emmanuel Atuchukwu

  2. Why do we keep bringing people on national tv to LIE shamefacedly to Nigerians! WHY? I though FUEL subsidy is GONE, so why are the fuel queues back…! this view point is NOT correct of TRUE! Fuel Subsidy is NOT the reason for the SCARCITY!

  3. There is no subsidy. NNPCL is importing low quality fuel from malta blending plants which sells cheaper.

Quality fuel from refineries cost abt 1100naira per litre. NNPC is importing adulterated product which is cheaper. No subsidy oga.

  4. Chika and Rotus, your views on fuel subsidy seem to align with neo-colonial interests, prioritizing the removal of subsidy without considering its impact on Nigerians and the economy. You fail to acknowledge the corruption within the fuel subsidy scheme. Since the subsidy on diesel, jet fuel, etc. was removed, how has it affected the economy, food prices, travel costs, and production costs? I find your opinions misinformed. Instead, focus on promoting local production to eliminate export duties on crude oil, freight costs, and import costs of refined products, including wharfage and handling fees. Your push for Dangote to sell above N1000 lacks a clear basis. If you're interested in working at NNPC, pursue it through proper channels, but don't suffocate Nigerians with your views

  5. Is there still fuel subsidy in Nigeria? Who is deceiving who? Are you saying removal of fuel subsidy hurts more than having it? Now most of you are learning practical lessons in the science of Economics.

  6. The moment you have a corrupt Leader it trickles down to everything. first thing you will have is lack of transparency and accountability. Who is benefiting from the corruption in oil subsidy? your guess is as good as mine.

  7. There hasn't been subsidy on petroleum products in Nigeria since the days of Abacha. Let the government publish the names of oil companies that have received oil subsidy payment including the volume of fuel imported since subsidy regime started.

  8. Good analysis, however, the President said that there is no longer fuel subsidy. We need a direct answer from the highest authority President, Petroleum Minister or the NNPC MD…IS THERE SUBSIDY PAYMENT OR NOT, IF YES, HOW MUCH IS FG PAYING ?

  9. You are saying the truth. Subsidy opens us up to scarcity.

But how dare you blame the masses? The people who are impoverished by their government?

Is it not money people will use to buy fuel at market price?

The issue has never been that fuel is too expensive, it’s always been that the people are too poor to afford

    How dare you!

Government will wait for people to pick up arms before they agree to a 70k minimum wage, but somehow we are the problem?

No make me swear for you

  10. What do you people mean by subsidised fuel? Has fuel subsidy not been eradicated by Tinubu? Have they all of a sudden introduced a magical budget line for subsidy? Economic managers need to have the balls to stand by their decisions regardless of the pressures. The right thing for the economy in the long run is to let the free market determine the price of petroleum products. Paying Subsidies is equivalent to eating the seeds that can be planted to produce fruit tomorrow.

  11. Brother we were told from the first day of this administration that subsidy is gone.

    Is there still a subsidy?

    Who is deceiving who?

How come NNPC is the only importer of petrol in a free market?

Seems we are not yet ready for development.

  12. What is this man saying? Do you think nigerians are that so dadt. Are you the president? What is really the problem of these people. We were all around on May 29 2023 when the president announced that subsidy is gone, then what subsidy are you guys still talking about? B4 he announced his subsidy removal petrol was 190naira, now petrol is now 980naira, when he announced subsidy removal you were all praising him that he took a bold step which no president has ever taken. Which subsidy are you talking about. Instead of you to say the about the foolish clueless govt who removes subsidy and devalues ñaira at the same time. That policy surmasort and counter productive.

  13. Truth is surely bitter.. So I am not surprised very few people are always ready to hear it 🤷🏼‍♂️.

I just hope a Nigeria where the people will be so sure of goverment delivering what it promises comes. In that situation, the people will be ready to sacrifice for sometime, knowing fully well the reward will surely arrive. But presently, the people find it so hard to believe in the government, so they prefer to get whatever they can now (subsidy) without minding at the expense of what it could be in the future…

🇳🇬 May God Bless Nigeria 🇳🇬

  14. The government is just too foolish. All that they need do is to subsidies the currency to make naira stronger. If dollar to naira is 400 nobody will need subsidies on petrol. Government should subsidies the currency to the lowest minimum to help remove millions from poverty. If we have dollar to naira for 100naira,do you think any Nigeria will complain of hunger? So government should put focus on subsidizing the currency.
