  1. farming out control of your weight to a pharmaceutical is a terrible idea… lets be clear here once you start…you''ll be on that drug for the rest of your life as all its doing is masking the underlying issue… on top of which the age of those that are given it will fall and fall till were giving it to kids as a matter of course

  2. I hate people that say "it's cheating." Would you say that ADHD medications are cheating? There are things people clearly cannot achieve despite exhausting all other efforts, and now there is a medication that can greatly improve their health outcomes. It's also entitely inline with the new NHS approach to target disease prevention rather than treatment. This drug will help avoid so many diseases that are exacerbated by obesity.

  3. Lbc will do anything to distract from the real issues faced by the people of this country. What's the topic next time obrien? The pros and cons of narrow gauge railways? 🤣🤣🤣

  4. Are we upset with people who have got an underactive thyroid or diabetics or people with high blood pressure when they take medication to stabilise it? No. Of course not!

It's been shown to resolve fatty liver disease. Stopped people getting COVID. Reduces inflammation. Being tested for prevention of dementia and Alzheimer's. Being tested to cure alcoholism and opioid addiction. It's a crazy drug. We are so lucky to have it

  5. I view assisted dying similar to abortion. It's a private decision a person and family have the right to address. The government should not be making that decision for the person. (I'm Canadian, and we've already determined the decision is not the government's to make. It is legal in Canada.)

If you legislate that you may not choose assisted death (despite your suffering or circumstances), it's no different than forcing a person to continue with a pregnancy against their will.

  6. Once you have diabetes, you always have diabetes, but as you lose weight, you can get it under control so that your numbers resemble those of non-diabetics however you must always be diligent because you will always be diabetic. I’ve been diabetic since 1993 and just recently found out I have excellent control. It seems that you are getting more educated from some of your callers, especially the ones who have been diabetic.. This will give your listeners a much more rounded and accurate appreciation of what’s going on..

  7. It’s not as simple as you inject it and you automatically lose weight and you can eat what you want and as much as you want that’s a misconception. The truth of the matter is if you’re eating less calories and you do a little more activity you’ll make great gains.. what the drug does is it helps your body tell you your stomach is full. This mechanism which tells your body it’s full does not work on obese people.

  9. James, I’ve been on the drug for a few years now. It was formulated and tested and prescribed for diabetics, the bonus is not only been controlling blood sugars that it also contributes to appetite suppression which hence leads to losing weight. The drug was formulated originally for diabetics and is only now starting to be used as weight loss. The second drug you mentioned the one that started with the letter M is specifically the brand that supposed to be prescribed to the obese. This is not the persons that are only about 20 pounds or three stones overweight it’s for the morbidly obese that will get the best benefit out of it, because the advantages of losing the weight really help avoid the really expensive long-term complications that the subject would experience if they hadn’t lost the weight. This isn’t for the wife to lose 10 pounds, the drug is quite expensive.

  11. I've had great success with the GLP1's. A 6' gent, I've lost 54lbs, and I have a physique like I've never had. I am doing the work; lifting different muscle groups every day.
I've got constant medical supervision with extensive monitoring of my blood markers. I think it's very healthy.

  12. I'm reminded of the drug Phen Phen used over here in The US for people who wanted to lose weight. It caused heart, liver, & even skin issues. It was bad for a lot of people who just wanted to be healthier.

  13. Ukraine has trillions of dollars worth of critical minerals in their country.

Vladimir Putin cannot be allowed to access that money and those resources because he will share it with China – Lindsay Graham
