Very good video and accurate which is often hard to find in these Youtube videos. I live in California where it is almost always Mountain Lion as well as in neighboring states. Washington state being so far north will use that name and Cougar as you said. The name Puma is sometimes used in Texas from what I'm told. Unlike birds, mammals don't have official names so every book may use a different name. Compared to bird field guides which always use official names given by the authority which covers species in the area the book covers.
