  1. So Higher Education is closing private institutions yet public universities are in worse condition being left to operate. WSU has no money whatsoever, they aren’t paying residence landlords and as of April in Mthatha every external residence has shut out services like water, electricity and Wi-Fi and on April 6th they’re totally sending them out the gate to fend for themselves. Furthermore there’s no transport to get them from residences to the campus anyway because the universities and nsfas haven’t been paying service providers so they too have ceased transporting students. The campus has well over 10 000 students and over half live in external residences. Those that depend on nsfas have been getting R300-R325 rather than the agreed upon R1 650. All this but they’re closing down private institutions. So the public ones aren’t working and the private ones are being closed!!! WTF IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE?

  2. So why don't they challenge how can he stand for MK as
president as he is on a medical parole and should have conditions attached to that? How would he be able to perform his duties to the MK party should he be elected.

  3. it was done intentionally they will be one! smoke and mirrors. This is a strategy like the wooden horse of Troy – don't look at what we do look at what we show you.

  4. So happy that you could make simple sense of the MK and Mapisa stories. Traditional press don’t know how to keep a story simple to follow. It’s all too much for me to follow everyday. Thanks

  5. Hi Dan, just a heads up on your Educor segment. Educor serves at most 15 000 students, not hundreds of thousands of students. I'm sure it was a simple error, but thought you'd appreciate knowing that. Love your content, and love the critical engagement.

  6. In regard to the news on private colleges, like most South Africans, growing up we were always told that private education is better than public. However, if you look at UCT, WITS, UJ, NMU, UP, Rhodes, STELLENBOCH etc… these rank amongst the best in the world and yet they are public universities. Nobody seems to be pointing out that this is an area where government is outperforming the private sector. Also considering the fact that most students who go to these private institutions of higher learning only go there because they were rejected by UJ, WITS,UCT etc… it's time we stop this propaganda that everything that the private sector touches turns to gold and that everything government touches collapses.

  7. I feel sorry for the students at Educor institutions. What's even more sad is the fact that some of these colleges offer courses that are not available in most public universities. This crisis just proved that we as the citizens must work hard because nothing is going to save us not the government or private sector but ourselves

  8. Voting for people who threatened the country's democracy if they didn't win yea sure, with a president who's a convicted criminal. You could not write this story even if you wanted to. This movie is getting better by the day.

  9. Heart goes out to the students, as a student myself i cant imagen telling my parents a cant continue studying because the school i chose that they already payed for is illegitimate🫂
