One thing I have always disliked about boxing is that you have fighters with over 20 fights in their careers ranked in the top 15, yet they're constantly facing opponents with highly questionable, padded records. It's an absolute sham. I'm specifically talking about guys like Berlanga, who has fought mostly nobodies aside from Canelo, who easily defeated him. Then he goes right back to fighting tomato cans.
Only casual fans would be impressed by Berlanga's win against Ortiz, who is 20-0. Real fans understand what's going on. Many of these fighters have never fought outside of their home countries, and their records are extremely questionable—an understatement, really. I’m not hating on Ortiz; props to him for having the courage to step into the ring. But it’s still a big shame that Berlanga didn't even attempt to make weight SMH.
That berlanga fight was filthy. I could see the fumes coming off my screen during that fight. Dude had a 10 year lay off
