In Romania maternity leave is more then 2 years, so… Paid with 85% of your salary.
I would like to know about the differences of animal adoption in USA and Europe,
And about architecture barriers for handicap people. How does pension works and what’s the age of retirement.
Cultural differences are absolutely interesting but I would also like to know about administration system.
You can consider a country as a developed one just looking how the vulnerable members in f society are being treated.
Non-paid maternity leave is such a wild concept God
Americans are European
In Germany a normal Tip is 10%.
Could you please ask to the other girls if The Federal Republic of Germany was named, the Federal Republic of Europe, and they called themself europeans, would you call them Europeans as well or if they will be upset and angry that the germans wanted to apropriate the name of the entire contienent for themselves?
I'm Dutch and expected the Belgian girl's accent to be more like either the Dutch or the French girl.. I have no idea where her accent comes from, does someone know?
This is an awesome series. I am just wondering if you are going to include Black Americans as well.

you tip when the service is bad?
are you stuppid, only tip when you are satisfied with the service given, and give the right amount to how you precive the service.
tipping culture, creates bad customer service, it is a reward, not a norm.
I'm always shocked to see younger Germans actually LIKING these bathrooms and not knowing a time where toilets were actually free and still clean. (And not seeing the classism, ableism, sexism … linked to having to pay for something that important and how it excludes people with less money from almost everything in normal life.)
(Not to mention that for people with for example sensory issues these modern toilets with always freshly cleaned but WET seats, artificial smells in the air, and usually only SCORCHING hot water to wash ones hands – at least if you're like me and very sensitive to heat – and the hot humidity in the room that leads to, are actual, real problems making these toilets inaccessible. I'd even rather have mildly dirty one, because I have sanitizer and stuff with me all the time, but nothing to help my circulation from crashing from the hot humid air, or to keep my migraine from flaring from the smells in there.)
Sanisfair is a euro now? I remember when it was 50ct, same as the coupon, and the last time I was there it was 70ct
Smash. Next question
Portuguese here.. It's immoral here to ask money to use the bathroom.
American? America is a continent not a country. There are nice countries there with nice people, not only the bully one.
@7:55 THAT's so correct, the only thing the USA is caring about. we se it happen here in the EU
USA itself doesnt interest me other then it has fantastic nature. Whats interesting and cool about USA are the people living in it. I dont care about laws, what each country has compared to others and what else the difference is between USA and some of the Europeans countries, it always comes down to the people. Americans i have met in real life, are social and often funny to be around. Ive only had positive reactions to meeting americans in real life, they do it different but when it all comes down to the person we're no different. Only the brainwashing the country we live in are whats making us different.
2 years paid maternity leave in Romania
Disagree so much with the American host about nudity. I'm from NZ but I'm. Also Danish and I've never seen a people more uncomfortable with nudity unless they're ripping drunk . It's just awkward.
I went to California once and I was shocked with how mush you they expected you to tip! It's ridiculous!
Why would you give a tip for bad service, or for that matter poor food? If I have an exceptional meal I may leave a tip, and if I'm feeling particularly impressed it may be 10%, but if the meal wasn't that good then no tip is left.
The problem I experienced on my three visits to the US is that very few of the meals are good.
Being brought up in the UK all the cars I owned were manual, but since moving to NZ I have only owned automatics and more recently EV. There are very few manual vehicles on the road and driving instructors find it difficult to find manual vehicles in which to teach their students.
There is a British expression, probably a bit dated now, but if people were needing to go to the toilet they would say " I'm going to spend a penny". This was because most public toilets charged, (50 years ago), a penny to use them.
Germany:
you are free to decide how long you want to take parental leave. you can take the entire 3 years of parental leave or just part of it.
The Family and Medical Leave Act does offer job protection for maternity and paternity leave. But in many instances it’s an unpaid leave and is only required of companies with over 50 employees. Also, the person has to have been working at the company for at least 12 months and with a certain amount of collective hours. Many other countries outshine us in this arena.
I live in Belgium, we just do 3 kisses usually when we greet family or friends 🤷♂️
In some countries tips is like an insult.
German girl would be amazed at what others can pay by phone or nfc. Germany really lives in the stone age when it comes to this stuff.
10:19 It's similar in Türkiye too, usually you give 2 kisses and the other person gives you 2 kisses. But if you really get along with them or they are really close with you, you ofc can give more than 2 kisses. If its and older person, like above their 60's, you have to kiss their hand and put your forehead on it. It's a way of showing respect. For example, i see my grandma and grandpa from my mothers side everyday so i dont really kiss their hands, only in feasts. But i dont really often see my grandma and grandpa from my dads side so i kiss their hands when we meet. Also, if a person is like 10-15 years more than you and you kiss their hand in feast times that means you're saying "You are not young anymore" and it's and offensive fun joke to make. It's dont have to be feast time tho, you can just kiss older peoples hands when you are visiting them or seen them outside. Plus, its not both hands, just one hand and its usually the left one (cuz if you use your right hand, its easier to kiss the left hand of the other person)
In Serbia the little, old lady who sits in front of the toilet collecting the money is colloquially referred to as Baba Sera (Granny Shitter) because she's the one who cleans the toilet.
