Mandisa Lynn Hundley, known professionally as Mandisa, who was a contestant on season 5 of American Idol, was found deceased in her home April 18. Mandisa shared the American Idol stage alongside Kelly Pickler, Katharine McPhee, Chris Daughtry, and eventual winner Taylor Hicks.

Anyone know of anyone else ever receiving a cause of death as "complications from obesity"? Serious question. Please do let me know if you've ever seen that alone as the cause of death on a death certificate, because that is absolutely new to me. (Yes, of course obesity causes health problems that can be deadly, but I've never heard of it as the cause of death.) My other big question is… what's with the 3 weeks? What was happening in those 3 weeks? Completely alone for 3 weeks? How could that be??? She had family. And surely she had friends.

This is shocking and sad news. I remember i first knew of her when i saw the behind the scenes of her song Overcomer back in 2015 and i became an instant fan of hers. MHSRIP and i pray that God comforts her family and fans worldwide. Absolutely shocking
