Indigenous blacks United States have the same issue our culture an our history has been taken in the majority do not know what tribes we come from or who we are.

I agree. As a Foundational Black American, I teach a lot of kids coming over from refugee camps and other areas of Africa and I no longer say African American due to their treatment. I only say American. I will also be giving away my African clothes and never wear it again. I can’t stand to be told that we have no culture as if the last 500 years we were twiddling our thumbs waiting on some seasonings. So I now educate other FBA of their hatred for us. Done!!!

Your not African Americans. Your AMERICAN just like white people aren't Caucasians. We don't come from Dagestan or Chechnya. We migrated from the lower part and Europe and by the way AFRICANS were snatching white people for slavery. Your not AFRICAN you been in America for over 300 years. You don't call whites Scottish Americans or Irish Americans so you AMERICANS have shaped America and one more thing. From 1810 to 1860 the largest slave owner in the Carolina's was a black married man named WILLIAM ELLISON he owned over 170 slaves
No one needs to validate me. Wrong. I’m proud to be African American. I love all black people. But she needs to stop with this narrative that all Africans reject us when we do the same damn thing, let’s keep it 100%.
That lady’s face is priceless. 😁 I kind of don’t blame them. Why are they expected to claim you anymore than I’d expect Ireland or Romania or Germany to claim me as an American of European decent. I am not crazy about immigrants flooding America either especially illegally. No country seems to like American expats of any race. We’re entitled and obnoxious.

Why would you go looking for validation? They need more validation than we do especially with their tribalism and religious wars! We know that we are the children of the trans Atlantic African slave trade which means we are the descendants of African people who were forcefully taken from the African continent case closed!
We need to move on from "validating" some bullsh*t idea of an African heritage. And we're not African Americans. My mom is older than that label. It's all garbage. Them ain't the only ppl on earth with "heritage" nor are they exempt from being just another colonized group of mfs thinking they're above us.

As a black man I never understood this whole African validation crap, nor have I never sought it. I don’t even like to be referred to as African American. Some people have always been that way though. Constantly trying to fit in or appease whether it be the yt man, other melanated peoples, or in certain groups within our own communities. Bro I’m black and it is what is, and proud to be an American.
It's simple you are still a foreigner stop demanding people have to accept you all the time your a complete stranger untill your known what more do you expect
