The attitude I experience as part of the poor to middle working class in SA is one of complacency, normalizing and helplessness against corruption, bribery and crime. Not very "let's try".
The reason you can do this is because some guy in the US, Europe, Japan or China developed that product and you are late to the party.
I mean that’s just called being poor. It doesn’t matter where you are or who you are. Why would you spend a ton of money on a marginal upgrade when you could wait for a product so superior it justified the price of the upgrade? It has nothing to do with attitude.
This is a great way of saying your continent doesn’t produce anything innovative.
