@dbow1957

Stop doing business with them if you disrespect me I’m done doing business with you gees! Start your own shops and do business with your people

@sherrypierce27

wow just ridiculous i no longer go to African braid shops known for snatching out your edges

@tyronetaylor7165

Very factual commentary

@jsanders2004

Trump 2024! Im ready for that Wall

" I got an F both times" lol

@jamesxray171

Wear your own it's OK

I will never support african braiding shops, only foundational black americans hair shops.

@ms.branch1207

I always say not all of them but most of them they treat each other like s*** so we are no exception. I don't even get offended anymore cuz I see how they treat each other.

It be your own people it’s disgraceful 🤦🏾‍♂️

@Latriece708

Well real Africans don’t like us black folk. They enslaved us just like the yt man so🤷🏽‍♀️

And Africans, wonder why they are treated so badly, when they travel to European countries. It’s because of how you treat other black peoples that come to your countries. Shaking FBAS down for bribes at your airports and treating us bad.

@Jj-mn2nz

🤔 Some people thing you don’t understand your language ✅

@marylucas8123

They are the stupid ones because they will lose their customers

@bibai1577

Thanks for sharing this story! That’s 100 correct, most of the braiders are from Cameroon or Benin. I ran into this at a Braid shop in Laurel, Maryland and II’called them out as well in French!

@high3367

I stopped letting Africans braid my hair years ago…. They will never get in my head again. We have plenty of American women who can braid just as good, and you still have your edges afterward.

@juliebryant6718

Yes 😢 I am a Black American woman and a African American woman verbally abused me while she was braiding my hair in Pomona, CA. Anyway I paid her when she finished and never returned to her beauty shop

@kiki1965

They all do it unfortunately. I've heard one African braider mention that they were the real African Americans, not this watered down version here in the states. Needless to say I never got braided again. The disrespect a lot of them feel about us. Shameful… 🤬

Can't win..on the continent you get the foriegn tax…which in most cases is ok..they do good work..atleast in my experience..in US you get disrepected by our distant relatives..must be the "coming to US-hate blacks programming" Crazy

@meccadooley

This how they stay. I work with some Nigerians in America and (some) are out of order. They treat Black Americans bad. They stick together in their B.S. They lack INTEGRITY!!!! RUDE PEOPLE in AMERICA

@Nottheopps

Smh

@brendavann2328

Here in Omaha,Nebraska they do the same thing… the young one will start but here come this old lady purposely braiding very tight. Because I didn’t want her in my hair anymore they would not do my hair again. I’m tired of them plus you gotta deal with there kids everywhere in the shop doing what ever🤦🏽‍♀️
