Africa: Will You Marry Me? (Full Documentary)

In Africa, woman is not Adam’s rib, at most, she is his shoulders and spinal column. For the vast majority of African women, even today, in the cities and in the countryside, their greatest dream is to get a good husband and have many children. We will approach different cases as beauty contests, polygamy and arranged marriages.

  1. In my Soninke culture in Mali having many earrings is a sign of beauty for a woman, but the face scarring lines on the temple and cheeks and the dark lip tattoo used to be very popular but is less practiced my grandma has it and when I was being raised by my grandma in Mali my mom didn’t agree for me to have it done. When I was in Mali for about 5 years as a kid I saw many people with the scarring and the dark lower lip sometimes even the gums and chin although the gums is very pretty and the two line scars at the temple to me and I saw my aunt do it and was about to do it but I was scared of the pain. The eatable tribe is interesting for that but I don’t agree with their promiscuous culture Alhumdulillah for Islam.

  2. Great documentary I am from Mali but Soninke tribe and from Muslim family. Some translation were not right with the Bambara I can understand it as well as my Soninke tribe language. The bank system among women in Senegal is also in Mali my mothers and aunts do it and it’s exactly the same. Some practices are similar with all the cultures here and I can see where Islam has influenced many African cultures. But most important false thing I’ve heard here is the waiting period after birth it’s 40 days after the birth the man has to wait for the blood to all stop then they can resume sexual relations it’s not 2 years that’s crazy no one will be married and will only encourage adult yet if that was the case. There must have been another translation mistake or those people are ignorant or not Muslims. The 2 year limit is the time for breastfeeding not that they don’t have sex crazy.

  3. Women need to stop wearing all that makeup. It breaks down the natural coloring in the skin and makes the skin bland colored and wrinkled plus the man won’t live jet but love that cartoon woman drawn in her face. Instead work on the skin to be smooth instead of foundation.

  4. Maybe some of these Africans can teach some African Americans in the states on waiting 1.5 yrs before having sex after a birth. Man wouldn’t that change the ghetto for the good?

  5. Africa is a very large continent with .any countries ,this 'many Africans ,many Africans 'become annoying at times ,for example ,polygamy is barely practiced in southern Africa region ,women strive to be independent and empowered

  6. He is not a direct uncle but a distant relative ! She was promised to him when she was a young girl !! It's a common tradition in Ethiopia and Somalia !!!

  7. I would be content 😌 with just one woman!! That is not trying to screw every man that she finds attractive and or find her attractive. Most women and no good men over here are such whores

  8. Doesn’t seem like a prize worth winning. Especially in a poverty stricken country.
Then again American women see their men as sperm donors who will pay good money to have their babies.

  9. Stop having children and so many of them at that. Don't you see you're in a different time? You greeting monsters think everyone's gonna drop everything to help you when you don't even help yourselves. That goes for everyone. You don't have to have a child with everyone you're with. Do better be better act better and maybe somebody will care.

  10. As a Muslim, Rahel's father should know that marrying your Uncle is forbidden in Islam. Forced marriages are also forbidden, unfortunately, it happens often. The ignorance so present in Muslim communities stems from backward traditions and not Islam.

  11. The uncle saying that from the time she was little he treated Rahel like his child? Dude do you hear yourself? Who the freaking he'll marries his own child? Save it dude. The uncle is a sick individual and I hope his other wife finds a way to leave him

  12. That uncle of hers is like she’s probably “not enjoying herself,” meanwhile she is laughing happily with her partner and his wife was dragged by that wretched man. Ugh, how horrid!
