  3. Sandton is still tiny compared to other international cities. This wouldn’t even be a 3rd tier city in the US based on geographic and population size. Also, this represents a tiny minority of Johannesburg and the nation as a whole, with a lot of foreigners and multinationals owning alot of the land/buildings you see.

  4. A few years ago when Zimbabwe had it's own currency – Zimbabwe had more biillionaires than anywhere in the world. Everyone was a billionaire – but they couldn't afford a loaf of bread.
