Success is based on many factors but one must have the will, desire, determination, integrity and staying focus. Too many lazy minds leading ECOWAS and the African Union (AU).

The global economic system was based on keeping Africa as a raw material continent.
Thank God the youths are now making the changes. There is no turning back. Africa would rise.

No more loans from the World Bank and International Monetary Fund (IMF). Enough is enough. Africans were always very intelligent people. Colonialism and neo-colonialism disturb us but they did not break our spirits.

Ecowas did not struggle. The leaders are corrupt and love themselves than their continent. So CIA can easily change their mind. The external influence is invisible but very powerful.

The interest rate for African countries is higher because African countries have a higher default rate. Truth be told, it boils down to our leaders. Very poor leadership on this part of the world.

ECOWAS has failed because they don't really really want to do it. It is a hoax they are selling. If they really wanted, they would have done it within the first 10-15 years of idea conception. Also, they definitely listen to other influences instead of concentrating on the needs of it's people.

Instead of doing what is required, which is repent and turn away from their wicked ways, Western powers and their puppets refuse to believe what Scriptures says what is to become of these nations. They full of pride and hatred, which will be the cause of them not bowing down and try to right the wrongs they've caused Globally.

I wish Cameroon and Nigeria, Africa entirely can see what's going on in the Sahel region and follow suit.

Thank you so much for the excellent analysis.
Togo is best advised to collaborate with AES regional alliance. It stands to get much more than staying with the rudderless ECOWAS with no leadership, but political maneuvering in self-preservation at the expense of their citizens.
I have said from the beginning even before the formation of the tripartite alliance that I have great hope in President Ibrahim Traore of Burkina Faso and the Presidents of Niger and Mali to be the ones that move Africa forward not the current dead beat kleptomaniac so-called leaders.
