Yo, Stefan…I was a contractor on Airbus for Air Namibia…been down to see your airfield….great flying conditions and unstable air at this time of year….hope you get some huge altitude and distances!
Good that this adventure ended up right! I have had the same kind of experience. I have been a taxidriver and I was driving a couple from Amsterdam Airport to their home, when I got a flat tyre. It was in the middle of the night. I was able to reach a parking lot along the A1 highway. Mercedes had provided a very small wrench so I was not able to remove the weel. Luckely there was this Englishman in a Saab 96 stationcar who had enough tools to be able to build a whole new car. He was able to remove the wheel and apply the spare tyre!

I see it ended up okay! I think I will get the Garmin satellite phone to solve the communication problem. No one want to “Hope” someone will know my predicament!
