  1. So, could adeboye do the math and use the tithes collected via fear mongering over the years to benefit the poor in his rccg today?

They could ask for suggestions from poor members and then sink the money into the best or most acceptable one…

But to behave as if the money is gone forever because the tithers cannot be traced is unacceptable

  2. All thanks should go to genuine pastors who are out to expose the lies of these more popular pastors.
The like of Pastor Abel Damina comes in mind, I thank God that social media have made these genuine Pastors more popular, they have alot of wrong teachings to correct.

  3. you people do not have what to discuss anymore, very soon you guys will start preaching the Bible and calling for new convert in your programme. Religion has always divide us in Nigeria. Discuss what will benefit all Religion not discussing what affect the Christian

  4. The reason why religion has become problem in this part of the world is because most of us ( The followers) blindly follows the teaching of the our various religion centers instead of the teaching of the holy books.

  5. Giving of tithes is a command by God to His people. Any born-again Christian who doesn't bring tithes of his earnings to the House of God, is disobeying God's command, and no disobedient person will enter Heaven. So, if pastor Adeboye preached that non-tithe payers will not go to Heaven, he's actually right. I don't know why he had to apologize for that.

  6. Matthew 23:23 (NLT) “What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you are careful to tithe even the tiniest income from your herb gardens, but you ignore the more important aspects of the law—justice, mercy, and faith. You should tithe, yes, but do not neglect the more important things…. THAT PART 'YOU SHOULD TITHE, YES,! No matter how we like to hear messages that suits what we want, this tithe is biblical, thats Jesus confirming it, its left for you to obey or disobey

  7. My question is how come he made such a mistake? He knows the Bible so much that he shouldn't have committed such a mistake. He thinks that the people would accept it because of the respect they had for him. He wanted to take the advantage of the gullibility of the people to wind them.

  8. Hebrews 12:14 “ without holiness no man shall see the Lord” Holiness is Obedience, meaning if you don’t obey the word of God to pay tithes, you have disobeyed GOD, which means you are not holy and without holiness you cannot see God. Baba apologized for his own life but we need to look into the scripture in Hebrews 12:14 to see the requirement to heaven.
Holiness = seeing God, which is heaven, Holiness is Obedience, refusal to pay tithe = disobedience. Disobedience = not seeing God which is no heaven. Baba Is right, no tithe no heaven. Ask God for grace.

  9. What pastor Adeboye did isn't restitution. The act of restitution comes with physically paying back or making amends to what has been falsely taken. He's just made an apology to his followers and also to educate them more on the subject. God bless Nigeria, God bless Africa.

  10. This is laughable, are these stories about tithing actually our stories?

No link between these stories and our traditions and us Africans, let go back to the drawing board and go back to our real religion.

  11. You guys should discuss the failure of Tinuibu rather than talking about Pastor EA Adeboye. Message.
Bko should talk to his boss and co who has ran Nigeria down.
Tithing is optional for anyone who wants to pay.

  12. You can't be right and wrong at the same time. This alone is false doctrine. The only purpose of tithe is to eliminate poverty. I will be willing to pay 100% tithe if schools, hospitals, food etc are given to the poor for free. People in Saudi, Singapore even China etc don't pay tithes yet most things are affordable by their citizens. Just imagine 4 Mega pastors in Nigeria build farmlands or refineries instead of buying private jets, mansions and rolls Royce. Food and oil will be affordable by majority of Nigerians and don't need to depend fully on the Government. If members pay 20, 30 percent. It is expected that pastors pay 70- 90 percent back to people development and 10 percent back to church development

  13. The last is a complete daft, In that portion of d bible quoted,if u read down u will see where it says, covert those ur produce to money if d place is far from u then use d money to buy what ever ur hearts desires at that place and eat them , GOD ask us to eat our tithes by our selves and help the poor, GOD never ask man to pay 10% of our money to him tru any criminal called pastors

  14. The woman I lived with, got a loan of 3.5m and gave tithe of 350t. without my consent and it caused problem when I told her it was wrong……we saw shege repaying the debt 😢.

Adeboye and Oyedepo has led many people astray.
They have destroyed marriages and homes with their teachings ..

  15. If such things happen in Europe, the church will be closed down immediately, secondly he will be in jail already. That's why the European government controls churches and their bank account.
    Shame on the Nigerian. Government

  16. The last caller the pastor didnt complete his claim that tithes can be converted to money. Here is the summary. Deut 14:22 – tithes are paid annually (unlike today where it is monthly). Deut 14:23 – eat your tithes (Yes, you eat it, not given to anyone). Deut 14:24 – if your place of worship is too far (exchange it for money). Deut 14:25 – go to place where God choose for you. Deut 14:26 spend your tithes as you want in fact you can use it to buy drink i e. wine (alcohol), and eat before the Lord your God with your household (family).

Pastor Julius should say the truth. Today, we read our bibles and we know what God is saying.

    Peace.

  17. Will Redeem Church and in particular the GO return all the traceable tithes to the people who have wrongly paid it on instruction / interpretation from these pastors and their teachings. Basically they successfully hoodwinked a lot of people young people for that matter to tithe money they should be investing in their lives . It is appalling state of affairs in the so called followers of Christ

  18. People didn't listen very well or not understand what he really said in his statement. He literally took back what he said and demanded for more percentage. "He was wrong and at the same time right" according to him….. His light does not travel in a straight line.😂
