While I celebrate the return of 137 out of the 287 abducted Pupils in Chikun LGA of Kaduna State. The statement of the Kaduna State Governor in his interview with Seun Okinbaloye of Channels TV raises more questions than answers and also goes a long way to prove the type of daft leadership our Country and it’s sub-nationals currently has!
287 pupils was allegedly allegedly abducted from a School over 2 weeks ago and up till their purported eventual return, no roll call was carried out by this School involved! No proper investigations by the Government or its security agencies to ascertain the numbers and most worrisome! The parents/guardians of this Children didn’t lay any claims to their wards missing!
Interestingly, after 2 weeks! What a State Governor/Government comes on a live television to tell the World is that the released 137 pupils are the exact number missing! What a shame!!!
Furthermore, it is worthy to also note that in our usual manner of been a prayerful country coupled with our consistent belief in miracles, this abductees were not rescued but RELEASED! Without a dime paid by the Government….
I rest my case but God will judge us All…

Journalists should be honest and courageous in gathering, reporting and interpreting information. Ethical journalism means taking responsibility for one's work and explaining one's decisions to the public.
Our Jonalist will rather do a Zoom, call or go to Social media to get information. None of them is going to risk their life so we don't have investigative journalism in any TV station now. Also, most Nigerian politicians and leaders will never be truthful or accountable. Seun asked some vital questions but I knew the man won't answer him.
The governor said gather your team and come to my state to confirm some of this. Will they go? I doubt it. So everyone is in a safe haven. Why did Dele Giwa die? True Journalism. Some of the Jonalists will just get information from unknown sources, make a topic and later apologise like for misinformation. We cannot get better than this. All this Lagos Jonalist that don't even have a rep in all the 36 states. Everything is they said, who said? My main concern is those children that are political porn have been released but we will never know how. That is why we cannot afford to be poor in life because if any of these politicians' children or families are involved the approach will be different but Karma will happen somehow.

HE Mr. Governor of Kaduna State, you are not being honest with Nigerians.
You cannot tell us Nigerians that all you're interested in, is, that the children returned.
In effect, you are telling us whether ransom was paid or not, it is not our business.
The Military too should as well not have told us that 17 soldiers were massacred in Ughelli and expect that we would suympathize with it as an institution or with the families of persons that are nameless or faceless.
I wonder why harmful secrecy which fuels rumours and suspicion is the card the law enforcement, security forces and political leadership at different levels prefer to be playing with Nigerians and expect to earn the people's trust.

@bobbyoj4092 God bless you. Seun Okinbaloye sometimes disappoints Nigerians when he is expected to ask pertinent questions that will help Nigerians fully assimilate the real problems the nation is faced with.
Instead, he was asking Junior WAEC standard questions that led to nowhere.
The military keeps rescuing tens of hostages every now and then but never is there a report of how many of the criminals that were decimated or arrested.
There's absolutely no openness in our governance circles.
In January 2021, the US Navy Seal Team 6 carried out a rescue mission somewhere in Zamfara State, decimating 12 of the terrorists that held 3 Americans hostage and the next day the whole world heard it from President Donald Trump.

It is cheering news that our innocent kids have been released but the governor 's report to say the least is very dry. Some basic questions need to be answered. When,where, how and who rescued the children? As Seun rightly asked, what are the lessons learned to forestall future reoccurrence? This is why the government should not think of mussling the press, particularly the social media. These sources bridge the gap between misinformation and no information at all from government through investigative journalism. In the next few days the true picture of how, where and who released the children will certainly emerge.
