Our local restaurant has been discriminating against us, the manager said this was our final warning, suggesting that he was going to ban us from the restaurant. My brother and I have a genetic disorder which is a disability, and we are federally protected from discrimination according to the Americans with disabilities act. Our disorder is not a disease or contagious or is it a health or safety issue. If we had HIV, AIDS or any other disease the manager still could not discriminate against us. I assume the manager is under the impression that he has the right to refuse service to anyone and everyone he does not want to deal with which is not entirely true. My brother and I are very respectful, honest and decent people and we cause no issues that warrant the manager's disgraceful attitude toward us. All we want is to be treated with respect and be able to visit the restaurant and eat our meal without issue. We have a blood disorder which causes spontaneous nosebleeds due to our weak veins. The manager and the owner said we have to dispose of and or cleanup our blood or they will refuse to provide us service. I have tried to comply with their requests, but it is obviously not good enough for them and I believe they do not have the right to refuse us service for not complying to their request. According to the Americans with disabilities act we deserve to be treated the same as other customers who are not required to cleanup after themselves or be denied service. The owner claims that we are a biohazard safety hazard and they have the right to refuse us service, which is not true since neither my brother nor I have any contagious diseases or transmittable infections, this a clear cut case of disability discrimination. Other restaurants are aware of our blood disorder and have no issue with it at all and they are very helpful and understanding.
