  1. If he knew he was going to die, I don't think he would have laughed about when the doctors shifted the blame on him but rather, he would have sued them for giving him wrong medication. May he RIP…

  2. may ur Soul rest in Perfect Peace 😢I feel like his my own Brother.Pks they should mention the name of the hospital & even sue them for incompetence & un professionalism. Most of the Doctors do this and you can't even ask questions bcos all they say is take it ,I know what it does etc they don't even allow you to talk ,ask questions or say anything when U want to know the composition of the medications been given to you.U will Save a lot of people from such a hospital some one need to Stand up & talk,me kakra I wld have talk paaa or find. way of putting it out there without them knowing.

  3. I always google medication before taking it, he should have been in water therapy without taking any food,it would have flash everything from the body, drinking a lot of water flash everything.

  4. Hmm.. past medical history is always important don’t hide them… no doc in his right sense will prescribe an NSAIDS to a G6PD pt… life is spiritual… am a health worker and I know what am talking abt… may your soul rest in perfect peace

  5. Ghanaian doctors whenever they get it wrong, nobody takes action against them so they keep doing the same thing again and again. They need refresher course but NO!! HMMM, very sad.

  6. Hmmm. It is only in our country that doctors prescribe medicine right after telling them how you feel. In other parts of the world, the doctors will ask you to go for a lab test before they prescribe you the medication.

  7. Stupid doctors, arrogant and foolish professionals . They are ready to live needle and cotton in our body and yet they take big money , if you don't have money this people won't help you da !
See how dem kill an innocent man who could have lived long . Koda's wife should sue all them in court and get them arrested ahhh aba !

  8. Was he asked whether or not he had any form of allergies?.
It is true that some of our doctors are lazy on the job…. Some seem so familiar with symptoms that, they are almost always prescribing malaria/fever medications etc.

I had a colleague who died in Secondary School due to a wrong diagnosis. He died out of CSM when the doctor gave fever/malaria medication(Can't remember which exactly)…. We were writing the WASSCE when this happened.

I had some infection and feel general weakness and body pains and the doctor requested I be tested for HIV instead of giving me antibiotics. At the time of request, I didn't know this was what he did since the Hospital has a Computerised System. The information was sent directly to the Lab without me having any idea what I was going to do. It is noteworthy that, this doctor just graduated from medical school and was kind of doing his national service.
It was my wife(a nurse) who alerted me about what he did after she saw the printed lab details.
I was angry and wanted to rebuke and even take him on to let him know he didn't have any right to carry out HIV testing on me without my consent… He probably forgot this is illegal, but it was too late and my wife said I should let go. This same national service doctor misbehaved towards me, asking me to be quiet when I was explaining how I actually felt to him when he was asking about my state… Maybe he felt I was talking too much. Even then, that's not how he should act. Frankly, I felt very disrespected after all this noting the fact that, I could have even taught him in school… Such a small boy.
As recent as a week ago, we took our son who is G6PD Full defect to a hospital around 11pm. There was a night doctor, a female who told us that we should come to the hospital during the course of the day and not at night, because according to her, night is for emergency cases. So I asked her if she's now to tell the patient what time of the day they should come to the hospital…. Adding whether or not she knows my schedules.
There was a heated argument but I just decided to let go for some reasons…. One because she is the strangest doctor I have met in this life… There were a number of things peculiar to her. So I just let go.
You see, while we were waiting for our turn, she spent about two hours if I was not mistaken performing a procedure on a motor rider who was injured.
My wife told me earlier that, this is what some doctors often do at night. They take care of seeming emergency cases at night and take money from patients into their pockets which is not accounted for in the hospital. This was the reason she was mad at me telling me "You're standing on me while am working". I paced up and down the open space where patients are to wait to see the doctor because I had been sitting for long and there were mosquitoes around too. The clinical room she was treating the motor rider was left opened so she saw me from inside walking up and down. This is the "standing" on her she meant.
I didn't believe my wife but lo and behold, her testimony turned out to be true. This doctor after a long back and forth came to attend to us. When we told her our son is G6PD full defect, she then asked us what medications he was allergic to. Can you imagine such a question from a doctor??.
We had to give her my son's Weighing book where a record of allergic drugs etc was listed and pasted into the booklet.
In the course of attending to us, the motor rider and his brother/friend, the one who brought him to the hospital knocked on her door(consulting room, another room she took us to different from the procedure room) and came in handing over some amount of money to her.. 50ghc notes. Can't tell the total amount however. She was then persuading them, telling them to wait for her because she wasn't done with them and that she will finish with us very soon adding that if they leave, all her efforts to dress the wound would be in vain so they should wait.
I guess the money she was given wasn't enough for her…. Lol.
She said if an "emergency" case comes, she will leave my son and attend to it. She's right because, she will be given money for treating the "emergency" case.
Look, I have a recording of our argument that night still on my phone as I type this submission. Earlier on arrival, they asked my wife to take our son to the children's ward, then my wife asked if he(our son) would be admitted.
Come see the attitude, one of them(can't remember if it was this same female doctor or a nurse in her team) with a cheeky look and act said to my wife; "we haven't begun anything, and you're already setting rules". My wife smiled and sighed and said she asked because they asked her to go to the children's ward…. Only kids are admitted there. That is not the place where you take patient's vitals etc.
They later found out my wife is a nurse after the altercation between the doctor and us.

Guess what, one of the nurses later asked us to pay 50ghc instead of 150ghc because my wife was one of them. This 50ghc is not the consultation fee oo. My wife then gave her 70ghc…. This is money they receive without issuing receipts.

There are many of such cases all over the place.

  9. The thing is once you get to the hospital, we ask if you have any conditions as part of the family History . Many people hide it and don't speak up, so it turns out that the doctors go ahead to give the medications contraindicated to the condition patient refused to speak of. RIP legend

  10. For some funny reasons I always google medicines before taking and I remember when my mum had to fight with one doctor and the doctor got angry and my mum said she knows the meds her children takes and this not one of them she waited patiently for the next Dr and reported the case and then the next Dr told her ma’am you are very bold and observant that meds ain’t good for rheumatism patients since then it’s my mum who prescribes the meds for her kids and not the doctors

  11. KODA , rest in the bossom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
    You've paid your dues.
    Ghanaian will forever remember you.
    Christaindom will forever miss you.
Rest well, great soldier of the LORD.
    Rest well.

  12. KODA was my choir master and pianist at Kwabotwe. (Including Nii Okai). He was my senior and his talent was absolutely natural. Even at that young age, most of us knew he'd be great. And great he was! Such a humble, respectful and talented man. A huge loss to his family, friends, fans and gospel music. May his soul rest in peace. 🙏🏾
