Its definitely not a good place. Six of the Parishes are in a state of emergency with many murders. Check out the British and American sites re safety. I have been three times and it isnt getting any better. They are a very arrogant people — ask anyone from the other Islands ( which are really nice, the Jamaicans are not liked.) Stick to all the other Islands, dont listen to the bullshit you have heard on this site.Incidentally I have shaken Bob Marleys hand, a very nice man even he fled Jamaica for a few years.

Great video. Ackee and saltfish is something no one is neutral about. You either love it or hate it. I loved it from the first time I tried it on my honeymoon in 1986. I've stayed in Jamaia 19 times and just had one glorious day there on a cruise last week. Jamaica is a place that heals my soul the minute I set foot on Jamaican soil.
I just came back from Jamaica on December 12, 2024 for the first time and I’ve never met a friendlier bunch of people in my life. Jamaica is a must go. I am ready to buy a house here and deliver the rest of my days.

Why do we refer to Blacks outside of Africa as African. We are all "Black" but not African. We were already there when the whites got there. As a frequent visistor to Jamaica, I am apauled that any traivel from the two major airports (Montago and Kingston to outlying parishes on the east coast and even south coast. I WAS excited that Ian Fleming Airport close to Ocho and Port Antionia was exactley what I highely in the needed to build my business and add value to the Portland Parish. I am very disappointed that the commission on airports is starting a new project South of Montago Bay. The same fate that faceds IAN FLEMING airport will be the same as the new planed airport.. MY SUGGESTION: MAKE FLEMING AIRPORT WORKABLE for larger flights from various parts of the world. It would be must more proficient to make the investments you have before you expand into the unknown. … I am ready to invest heavey in local tourist venues in Portland and Port Antionia. as soon as consistant transportation is secure to sustain my investment.
