  1. It would have been useful to show clips of a couple of bouncers, and also of wickets getting uprooted and "going for a walk" 🙂 Being a NY Giants fan, I am always happy to listen to Michael Strahan.

And, Yuvraj is in a very small group of people who have hit 6 consecutive sixes in an over – at the end of which, even the bowler had sort of a smile on his face!

  2. Important distinction, with my limited time spent on TV watching baseball. Others may correct me.

Baseball is a pitchers game. He is the hero. Of course a home run gets the same cheers as a six. But in baseball, hitters come and go, the pitcher is the man who can win you the game. A perfect game means no hits of the pitcher.

Cricket on the other hand, with a few exceptions, is mostly a batters game. Dosent mean a bowler cant be the hero, but mostly fans adore the batters. A batter is waging a lone battle against the entire fielding unit.

Of course there are lots of rules distinct, but that is more tedious. Enjoy both sports…😊

  3. I always find it amusing that the USA played the first official international cricket match ever between September 24 and 26 1844 at the St George's Cricket Club's ground at what is now 30th Street and Broadway, New York, against Canada, who won the match by 23 runs. This first match went on to produce the first international series, the Auty Cup, well before one of the most famous and enduring international cricket rivalries kicked off between Australia and England in 1877. Now that is a fun fact for your telecasts.

  4. The reason cricket second most popular sport int he World, according to Indians, is because the subcontinent along with other cricket nations almost makes up 2.5 to 3 Billion people. In that case, the viewership is high ..but when it comes to participation all around the globe….it's very very unpopular. They can't even spread the sport outside the subcontinent n take it to mainland Asia and they call it second most popular sport. The most Indian thing ever.

  5. 2.5 Billion
