  1. From the comments, I see many blame the buyer & his lawyer. The buyer/ lawyer only get a copy of the title for due diligence, not given the original title. The Seller's lawyer also rarely do due diligence on a client's title, but make sure the ID etc match. Nothing beats the buyer doing his own research, and involving the Chief, Asst Chief and locals.

  2. This is just a tip of the Ruiru, Thika, Juja, Kiambu land fraudulence per excellence. Fake brokers, allegedly dead sellers, land registry researchers as lawyers, overwritten share certificates, duplicated original tittles of single plot, and suffering original ideal buyers.

  3. As a purchaser, due diligence is to be conducted by yourself and that’s why you engage the services of a qualified Advocate. Cost cutting and by-passing Wakili will be to your detriment.

  4. Maybe that was his accomplice Not a lawyer. Next time you want to buy land, involve your lawyer not the seller's lawyer. You behave as if you don't live in this country 😢. Pole lakini

  5. We Kenyans ourselves are the ones to blame we have a very inefficient justice system to the point that we let ourselves suffer. LET LAW BE LAW
