Watched this last night. Incredible!!
The bombing in '85 reinforced what I already knew, that this entity that occupies Turtle Island is a death machine.
This is more American propaganda to get sympathy from the general public. They always put up a black face to trick us into liking and relating to America. So funny you have this story when Rafah is under seige. You conveniently got yourself banned from Israel and now you’re posting heartwarming stories about Americans. Not interested.
I remember this horrific incident in Philadelphia. I was born and raised in the city. I remember as I watched in horror what happened to Move and the neighborhood of Osage Avenue. I was expecting my fourth son when this occurred. My husband and I drove to the area and I remember how that area looked like a war zone. Thank you Al Jazeera for doing this documentary. This is the reason why I only watch Al Jazeera News. I'm praying the family will find peace and resolve.
Tears of love. It is so utterly appropriate that the Africa family, so long abused by the official violence of the white establishment in Philadelphia, is featured on this network at this time.
What happened to Move in Philly was an embodiment of the same poisonous values carries by the IDF. It grew out of land grabs, state terror directed at any resistance to the plans of developers, any culture not convenient to their supremacist domination of city life.
I was young but saw all this happen, witnessed the mounted police beating old couples on the porches, terrorizing neighborhoods for daring to live in a place now wanted by the white rich.
It was traumatizing even to live there, what this family has gone through is unspeakable.
We need to connect the dots, all of us.
I have lived in five american cities, and in each one at some time a neighborhood was cleared with violence, by a collaboration of a university, the police, city government and developers. Five for five. These are genocide values in action. We have to end their power globally or they will end us all.
Thank you for making this documentary and sharing it.
May all happiness be theirs!
An honor to have worked on this film! A blessing to meet the Africa family.
