  1. British Chick wasnt invited to the barbeque by Black Hollywood and she in her feelings over it.. No dinners with Nia Long, Angela Bassett, Viola Davis, etc… I know she lying because Tisha Campbell is lighter than her and she was invited to the barbeque.. .. So is Tessa Thompson, Zendaya, Kerry Washington and a whole host of lighter skin sista's… She surrounded herself with white hollywood and now she sees how lonely it is on that branch… Girl Bye and insert my Annalise keating eyeroll …

  2. When your light skinned daughter/son grows up being like this, then no, the black parent is not teaching their kids to not be like Thandi. They use that white privilege to the fullest, then want to cry out 30 years later that they were wrong. Smh!!! These people are aware!

  3. She is not the chosen one! I find that a insult to all black women. Women like Whoopi Goldberg, Angela Basset, Gabrielle Union, Viola Davis, Regina King, Pam Grier, Alfi Woodard , Cicely Tyson, Kerry Washington just to name a few. All born in the United States and many that have paved the way for other black women. Women like you who have come to the US for advancement . Women who have in their own rights accomplished strong roles on film. You Thandi stand on the shoulders of all of these women. You don't get to think that you are the chosen one" I find that statement extremely insulting to all of those women and the women not mentioned. Hattie McDaniel leads the charge. The statement was egotistical and not necessary. These strong women do not need a virtual signal apology from you. They are all doing just great on their own.

  4. I am biracial and her apology is cringe worthy. I caught second hand embarrassment. Y'all, please don't think that we all(mixed folks) think like this because we dont! Ugh! She obviously is looking for attention.

  5. I’ve always liked her but this was some B.S!
Black women we need to stop allowing these biracial women to identify as BW, they are NOT. They we cry and Moan when the world chooses them to portray bw. We’re telling the world it’s ok to replace us .
Perfect example – zoey saldaniner playing Nina Simone .😂

  6. Some Africans in East and the south they don’t see color like that or really grasp colorism so I’m not surprised if her mom didn’t really give understanding on colorism

  7. People like this insult people in the plight of catering to a demographic. By saying she benefited from her lightskin she’s basically calling her peers and the people that did her a favor colorist which isn’t the best thing and you can really tell that these people aren’t thinking about what they say. So all of the directors that helped you must be colorist? No real connection on your part. They didn’t hire her because they thought she was the right person for the job but because they’re colorist? Dang but people turn also turn everyone colorist just like they turn everyone racist. This is why these colorist or privilege conversations are damaging because all it does is cause mixed ppl to think that everything positive that happens is because of appearances not because we might be part of those cultures. So of course white ppl would choose her which is normal by the way. They chose her maybe because she’s likable, talented or has good on screen chemistry. Like she just totally discredited herself. You all notice how colorism is never applied to white people the way that it is applied to minorities this is because the idea of “lightskin privilege” is used to keep people from other cultures and races that are lighter in “their place” and minorities also play into this idea as well a lot more.

  8. Not really familiar with this actress work but it sounds like a bunch of bs. What was she crying for? 😂 Was she crying when she took those roles from dark skin bw? Women that look like her mother. This is a girl "shut the f up" moment. I would rather these women just admit that they take advantage of their privilege and own it.

  9. How disgusting 🤮 Thandie is trash! How dare she blame the dark skin woman for her own guilt! She took those roles and cashed the check. She’s doing this on purpose. Disgusting vile woman who pretends she’s better. Another reason to not support these celebs and Hollywood.

  10. I think cos Thandiwe is from the UK she's more confused about race because it's seen through a different lens here. Not defending her cos she does sound like she's having a break down to me. She said in the UK she was seen as a black woman & seen as dark by the film industry here & in the U.S she was seen as a light skin black woman & it was the first time she heard that. The thing is black people in the UK look at people Thandiwe, Zoe, Zendaya, Halle & automatically say "oh they're mixed race girls" we don't use the term bi racial too much in the UK, it's mixed race. We do see Halle as being more in touch with her black roots / black culture even though she's mixed race. Thandiwe seems lost & needs therapy.

  11. They all need to let us dark skin women be. We are minding our business and people keep coming for us. We dark skin women don’t care 🤷🏾‍♀️. Just leave us alone please. What men is she talking about? We dark skin women don’t want the dusty men. She is promoting her movie 🎥 and need clout.

  12. Sorry sis but I have to disagree once again. Thandiwe and yes you pronounce it Thandiweh. I never had a problem with this HOLLYWOOD are colorist. She never threw anyone under the bus to get roles. And I am sure many "dark skinned" women actors may have. Why is she blamed for being lighter skinned. At least she did go BLACK FACE. Viola Davis gets many roles and one of thee BEST. And she loves her work GREAT at her craft. I see a new trend besides the red pill 💊nutbags colorist is still a thing. I always knew Thandie was a black woman, Zoe I believe did not DISCLOSE that till much later. And what men did they steal both black women are MARRIED TK WHITE MEN. I felt there was need to apologize for merely existing. And I found the article about Z crazy. She said she was HAITIAN and Dominican but now, NOW she is Puertican and Dominican? Really, she this is why I side eye her but that is internalized racism SHE has to deal with it. But Thandie I feel more sorry for, this is a colorist attack.

  13. She’s biracial which gives her the leverage to take the darker skinned roles. It’s the equivalent of white privilege. Being racially ambiguous is what helps a lot to move through life!

  14. When she started crying at 5:39 and you started laughing 😩😩😩😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣….Jovi that just made my whole day. That was so cute!!!! And it was needed because this particular topic has me wanting to scream at times. Thank you for cracking up in the middle of her tears. It helped to relax my mood. (I'm not joking)
