The people of Flint are suffering, they are paying high water bills, need their homes fixed and the mayor and 6 council members are not giving the residents the ARPA funds to fix their homes. Some people have sewage backup in their basements and Mayor Neely is doing nothing to help them.

Our ppl don’t have an understanding of how the govt created white wealth!!! Fed, state, & local govt contracts give out millions of dollars that many white businesses thrive off of. This also happens in the grant space!!! Roland is correct we are mostly consumers with no ROI. Blk ppl are the economic engine of this country via consumerism & they don’t want that to change. This is why it’s important to focus on economics.
I thought the companies that get federal contracts & dollars have an obligation or encouraged to subcontract with minority owned businesses. They want blk ppl and organizations to be happy with the photo op, the media buzz, plaques, & keys to the city and too many are!!! They can keep that, send the money so black businesses can grow & invest in their communities!!
Those that play the game are the most decorated. Jay-Z and Beyonce have a gazillion Grammys. Think about that! The person his management company manages won 3 and she came out 5 minutes ago. So, Jay-Z can save his fake speech. He literally made it about Beyonce despite her having the most grammys but because she didn't win in ONE CATEGORY the Grammys is rigged?! 🙄That's the same couple who attend the grammys every year but not the BET Awards, Soul Train Awards, etc. He talk but his actions prove that's all he's willing to do! His proximity to whiteness and their acceptance/validation means more than him sacrificing a small portion of his power. He embodies the essence of the white people he calls out.
