  1. So let’s get one thing straight, surgical complications may not have anything to do with medical incompetence or negligence. Being able to identify and manage these complications promptly is what makes the difference.
Is the hospital equipped with the multidisciplinary team to manage these complications as against transporting the patient from one place to another? Is the patient financially and mentally prepared to handle the management of these complications (which sometimes could be triple the price of surgery, coupled with the prolonged hospital stay)?
Many surgical procedures have a risk of infection and/or bleeding and any of these two can cause an injury to the kidney depending on how severe it is.
Antibiotics are given before and after surgery and the theater is kept as sterile as possible just to reduce (not prevent) the risk of infection.
Then blood is reserved before surgery just to compensate for any significant blood loss to prevent the kidneys from shutting down.
We may not fully understand what actually played out between the transgender guy and the surgeon, so it is not enough make conclusions or swallow a one sided story, hook line and sinker.
In situations like these, when people tell these kinds of stories they tend to portray themselves without any fault just to amass public sympathy.
Some surgeons will further tell you even way before surgery to reserve some extra money just in case they encounter any complication, so that there won’t be any delay in treating the complication.
The lesson is that in a country like Nigeria where good healthcare is veeeeery expensive, you don’t take some risks with your health. Nigeria is not a place to subject yourself to cosmetic surgical procedures, even in the developed world trained Plastic surgeons would only consider it as a last resort. The complications could be fatal. There’s good healthcare in Nigeria, the only problem is how difficult it is to access and pay for it.
I wish him a quick and complete recovery.

  2. Ah Poverty is a bastard! You refused to love your son for who he is and then he left home to start working hard. He got discovered and you are going on social to say he never helped you?? Why ask for money yesterday if he never gives you money.. The entitlement of African parents especially Nigerian parents is absurb!!! U just can't get the love you never gave!! Simple!!!

  3. You see many of us in europe came to be a sacrificial lamb, used and dump, most families don't care if you work, have children have husband have wife all they want to hear is money issues, they don't even care about your emotions or how you survive monet is all they want.

  4. Sultan is gay. Still confused but very clear to those who see beyond. You can see his feminity.. he likes cross dressing and exhibits female characters. Though he is a man and he is in country where he will rarely get the information and education or freedom to explore. he is gay gay. And nothing is wrong with it as at 2023 going to 2024..he can live his life. But na yawa in naija..
